  • Want to mount my GT1080 a foot higher than optimal height... issues?

I mounted my GT1080 last night at 8', which is about perfect with a 7' screen height and a 14" offset (is that the right terminology?) The problem is that the mounted distance puts it right over my swing mat, and being 6'2" with an 8" mounted height causes a bit of mental discomfort. If I decided to increase my mount height to 9 feet, is that going to cause a major keystone issue, or is it pretty normal for projector installation to end up less than ideal?

    Thanks,

    Bob

Is there anyway to raise your screen so the top of your image is at 8' instead of 7? Or even higher. Then you don't have to keystone. Probably just personal preference on where you want your image to start.

Hmm, that would be even less ideal.

I would try it and see how it looks. You might not be able to tell a difference.

            Yep, might as well.

As an update- I remounted the projector and it looks great to me. Keystone correction seemed to do the trick.
