Wtb gc2 or skytrak

Budget build for garage.
Looking to buy a gc2 or skytrak. Would like to get JNPG or TGC also.

If you go Skytrak and dont own JNPG yet. That would be off the table as you are no longer able to purchase it brand new.

If your're on a budget. I would go Skytrak and TGC as well.

Can you clarify? The JNPG is not available anymore for Skytrak?

It’s my understanding you can’t purchase JNPG brand new for skytrak. If you’ve it already then you can renew it.

Do you like your skytrak? I'd love to get the gc2 but the price gap between the ST and gc2 is a large gap in my opinion. Just dont see that the gc2 does 4k worth of more things. Am I wrong in my thinking? Is the gc2 that much better to warrant another 4k (new price) over the ST?

My skytrak is awesome no regrets. Im sure gc2 is great but not 4k better to me.

Most start with a Skytrak but progress to a GC2 if they really enjoy sim golf. The skytrak is good for what it is and will suit you just fine. I switched to a used GC2 after about 4 months. I just couldn’t get used to the delay for the shot to show on the screen and the GC2 was immediate. I also wanted to be able to add on the hmt if desired in the future and take to the outdoor range occasionally. I would never switch back.

Regarding JNPG, that is no longer available for a new skytrak, you may be able to locate a used one with JNPG but they are becoming harder to find.

A new skytrak will run anywhere between 1700 and 2000 depending when you buy and you can find used GC2s for 4K to 4500. Would I say the extra 2500 was worth it, yes. I wish I would have just gone with a GC2 from the start.

As for TGC vs JNPG, most on here will steer you toward TGC. I don’t have an opinion on either.

Thanks for the information. I do want a gc2 but that 4500 just for 5he unit with no transfer fee is just out of my range

I'm four months in using ST and going to GC2 in March when I move to new house. ST is very accurate for me on all irons and hybrids but hasn't been close on my woods. Many others have lots of luck with woods as well, but I cannot get it dialed in. The most frustrating thing for me is short chips and putts as ST just flat out sucks in this dept. ST is a great practice tool and a lot of fun, especially sim golf when its raining or snowing, but try both if you can and you might end up saving your dollars for the future and going to the more accurate unit. If you can't wait or can't eat the price difference, then buy the ST as it is a good value for the money, just realize its limitations.
