Box showed up and it looks like it's been drug behind the delivery van the whole way. I'll check tonight to see if everything is ok. I'm really hoping these weren't returns or something as I also ordered a 10' one for side protection. I figured due to price, i couldn't resist. It was cheaper than buying just the brackets.

Got mine in today and the box looks perfect on the outside. I have not opened it yet but looking forward to it. And you had me all worried... lol

So do you think I should keep the archery netting to go over this if I am not getting an impact screen right away?

I don’t think the SportScreen on its own is capable of handling golf balls at 100+mph repeatedly.
You’ll definitely need to put something infront if it to handle the impact.

Thanks! I have decided to keep my current archery netting and put it over it for now. Will replace with Carls preferred later in the year!

I have had the sports screen up for 1 and a half years. My first iteration I has the sports screen mesh with the supertex impact screen. After about 4 months the sports screen mesh at the driver impact site began to shred.

I called sports screen and their customer service was excellent. They sent me a new mesh screen free of charge. My second iteration I bought dbgolf's golf mill impact screen which is a lot thicker than the supertex. I left the supertex on to increase protection to the mesh screen so my current setup has 3 layers: mesh, supertex, golf mill. My main worry was if the motor for the sports screen could support the weight but no issues.

I haven't noticed any issues to the mesh screen for the past year.

Can someone let me know the $40 per linear foot difference in the Par2Pro RAW SQ vs the CUSTOM SQ screen? I am trying to decide which is the best choice to velcro on to my SportScreen. AS my screen will be 14ft wide the $560 difference is confusing.

RAW screen is essentially cut off of a large roll. Unfinished.

Custom is a finished screen, and will have hemmed edges, and a flap at the bottom for fitting a bungee cord. It may also have eyelets for attaching to the floor etc depending on your specs. You could also probably ask to have it with the Velcro sewn into it for attaching to the SportScreen.

Gotcha! So basically after a while the sides will begin to fray if not hemmed didn't think of that. Having installed grommets before I figured I would install 2 at the bottom for floor mounted hooks to hook onto bungee.

I got my second order today for the 10' one that I plan on using for side protection if needed and that box looked perfect. It's amazing how bad the first box looked. The parts bag was also ripped open and small pieces were loose in the box. i went through the list and it looked like nothing was lost.

As far as the netting, it may be trial and error. i plan on first just using my screen over the sportsscreen and seeing how well it works. I have the direct from mill screen and it's very thick so I think it should be ok.

Phoenix01 I have not installed it yet and probably won't for a little while. I have not worked out yet how I will attach it to the crossbar, initial though is to add a strip of velcro to both the bar and the screen. Someone else mentioned about 6" rolled up with a screen and net.

I really should have ordered one of the 10' ones too.. kicking myself for not doing it now! I am going to keep the archery netting for now and use it over the sportscreen. I may even put some heavy duty tarps I have on it first then the archery netting over the tarps.

I plan on modifying mine down to 14' -- would love to keep it 16' but think my max width (without moving cabinets I built in the garage) would be about 15' (but then I could keep the roller at 16' and just trim 1' off the side of the sportscreen?? options...options..)

Burtgolf I'm in the same situation, depending upon where I mount it, I may have to trim. However, i love your idea about keeping the bar at 16' and just trim the net. Might even be able to just fold it over at the end. I never thought about that. This could help me on one wall since that is where the doorway is to the house. I have about 14'10" from the wall to the door opening. Lots of options right now to consider. And I'm glad I jumped on the 10' additional one, I know I could probably resell it and not lose money if I don't use it.

Folding it over may be even better as then no trimming is needed! That keeps it in perfect condition in case we end up selling it later on. So I think that just made up my mind with keeping it at 16' and folding it over to be 14' so I can either do 1' on each end or 2' on one side which for me will probably be the 2' on the right side as there should never be a ball that far to the left and adds a bit of extra protection on the far right side. Thanks for coming up with the no trim and fold over idea!

If anyone is TRIMMING their sportscreen, I would be very interested in the trimmed off piece. I need to add an extra foot to mine to make it 17'. Thanks!

I am curious how your going to go past the 16 foot and still be able to roll it up as the mounts would be in the way of the extra material wouldn't they?

With the extra bit of the main tubing I can extend it with a piece of pvc acting as a joint and use the fiberglass rods to fill in on top of the pvc. They fit perfectly. At least that's the plan.. I also have an additional joint being sent since my box was severely damaged and one of the joints went missing. Might be some trial and error but I think it'll work.. That being said, I'd gladly take any trimmed pieces if they are just going to be tossed. I'll pay shipping and $10? 20? For the pieces.

So I'm an idiot and meant to see if anyone had extra TUBING, not the actual SCREEN. I need to extend my whole tube to 17'. If anyone trimmed their tube down from 16' or 10' I'd love to have the trimmed off piece if possible.

Sport Screen width is 15.5 feet on a 16ft screen. I will be cutting a 18” piece off one of mine.

After reading what wbond suggested with the folding it back I will not be trimming mine. I am still contemplating if I am even going to use it. I noticed that in the package if you do not use the 3rd extension roller then you have the 2 rollers to make a 10' section. So I may just end up doing that and using it as side protection as I just moved my EMT frame down from 12' to 10' and this allows the first layer of netting (10x15) to come over the top and allow for 6 foot of ceiling protection and I was able to double my archery netting (10x20) over itself producing 2 layers of 10x9 each with the extra foot at the bottom. I am about to go hit some balls into it and see how it works and if good then the sportscreen might get modified to a 10ft side barrier which for sure would have to be rolled up when not in use.

I picked up one of these at a hockey store in Canada. My next step is to contact a company that sells tarps and get a custom screen made. I am thinking about using this company https://www.heavydutytarps.ca/blogpo...ulator-screens

They can add velcro and pockets for pipes. I might try a large pocket at the top and velcro in the middle and replace the sports screen with a custom tarp

Hello, just wondering of you received the sim tarp from the place on Canada you spoke about?. If you did, how does it look, is it durable . Please let me know
