Hey guys, as someone who is in the market for a ST, I am wondering why you guys are selling them. Do you not like them? I have read a few things on other threads about how the distances are shorter than reality, etc. I feel like a lot of the posts I find about ST on this forum are outdated but it has my questioning if I should buy one or not

The Skytrak is a solid machine, you can't beat it for the price point. You may find, however, what many of us have found with time is that it gives you such a taste of what high end launch monitors can do that it eventually leaves you wanting a bit more. It's accurate but perhaps not quite as accurate as the better units. It's pretty consistent but will still miss swings more often than better units. It has a few second delay between swing and displaying the ball flight and data which is more annoying than I thought I would find it. It doesn't have any club head measuring capabilities.

I've enjoyed my time with my Skytrak and can heartily recommend it but there is a real difference between it and the better units that cost an extra few thousand (or more) dollars. The nice thing about the Skytrak is it tends to hold its resale value pretty well, so if you aren't sure you want to go all-in with a $10k+ golf simulator set up right off the bat, you can always upgrade a year or so down the line and you aren't out that much money.

I think it depends on your needs and how you plan to use it. There seems to be big jump in prices between units like the FS Mevo, and then SkyTrak, and then the higher end commercial units.

I had a FS Xi+ that I bought used but could not justify it for my use. It was excellent but by no means perfect.

Going to try a SkyTrak now.
