  • Wanting to buy (Faulty) Accusport Vector Pro with Microlens

    Hi All,

I was recently sold a Vector Pro with a missing lens (i have raised disputes with Paypal as was advertised as working). As a fallback, i am after a (preferably) faulty Vector Pro with Microlens so i can scavenge the parts which i need to get my one working, or a helpful push in the right direction to purchase the lens i need.

    thanks

    Michael

Hope you didn't pay too much. I have a Vector Pro and after several uses determined that I wasted my money - and it was in working order.

It is not a very useful piece of kit. Don't waste your time with it.

Unfortunately i spent enough to be worried. By any chance are you looking to sell?

A Vector Pro is just fine if you take the time to read the instructions and learn how to use it. I had one and used it for four years indoors. The only problem they have is they are picky about where you place the ball. If you just put up the composite picture (read the instructions), you can readily tell what went wrong if you start missing shots. They are not very good outdoors if the light conditions are changing rapidly. Indoors if you adjust the lenses correctly then it's pretty much one and done unless you change the ambient light.

BTW the micro lens model is pretty much useless indoors as you don't need to change the aperture and focus settings hardly ever. Outdoors it could be useful but remember it does not adjust on the fly. Every time the lighting conditions change you have to recalibrate, it is not automatic as with a GC2 or Skytrac..

My current launch monitor is a GC2 which is a lot easier to use but if I wasn't using a projector and course simulation the Vector Pro would be just fine for practicing indoors. I sold the Vector Pro about a year ago and the new user had no complaints.

Given Vector Pros are no longer supported, you might be better off trying to get your money back and consider buying a SkyTrak instead...

            Hi Doublebogey,

Am considering the SkyTrak (now, if i can get some money back). The purchase of the Vector was based on Club Data availability and price, and as i understand, skyTrak does not give club data. PLEASE let me know if i am mistaken here.

Yes SkyTrak only gives ball data (no club data). But I believe Vector Pro is the same? I could be wrong so would defer the latter to someone else who knows about more about the Vector Pro.
