Wow you did the same thing I did. I went on to a gc2 and I'm loving it. I've read some of your past post about protee set up.. I had it to and had my frustrations as well. not to bag on it but when it's set up right the protee for the price or someone who is on a budget, it's awesome. no doubt. but the gc2 with tgc hands down the best... Very easy set up plug in and go. Works great with TGC and protee red chain. Are you going new or used on the gc2... ?? HMT is a lot of money as well. I have the gc2 alone and I'm very happy so far.. Good luck.

Hey Tony, used but refurbished GC2, and yes looking at HMT as well, aeroburner is trying to put some group pricing together with Foresight, so let me know if that is something that interest you. I know a lot of money, but hey this ain't no dress rehearsal... as far as the Protee yes when set up properly works great and is bunch of fun, honestly, I'm still a bit conflicted on whether to let it go or not..

Mine is staying as I discussed with you CKL as my wife is learning and I can let anyone play the protee and not worry about any damage occurring to anything golf related as the GC2 could end up in pieces from my wifes shanks. I honestly think you left to much meat on the bone for your price as this system will sell all day long higher, crap i might buy it to sell later

Ckl, I sold just the hardware the sensor mat and the vertical launch camera for 950 on ebay. just to give you an idea. It's a great price and you should have no problems selling it at that price.Somebody is gonna get a great deal even adding tgc for another 1000.00 smoking deal wow. Trust me it was hard to let mine go too. One drawback to the gc2 is it does not work well with a righty, lefty situation. If you have a right handed only set up like me, then yea it's great. Don't know which one you have. get yourself a country club elite golf mat or insert where you had the protee sensor pad. Much cheaper option. They sell them on ebay. Or discuss mat options with aeroburner as he posted some pics of some mats that he bought pretty reasonable to that looks great also. Good luck...

                  Hey Guys,

I was wondering about the insert, as I have a cut out piece for the protee senson, oddly seems to be just under 24" by 12" so an insert that size would be too big. I was thinking about the divot action insert.

Hey Tony, having let your protee go, how do you feel about having new golfers hitting and the possibility of nailing the GC2?

When I sold my GSA setup, it too had the 24*12 fiberbuilt sensor mat. I replaced it with a divot action insert and it fit in perfectly (other than having to insert another base piece as it was not quite tall enough to be flush with the surrounding turf) overall, i really like the feel of the mat. 2 observations though:

                    1. When it arrived, I looked at the turf glued to a piece of plexiglass with pieces of foam rubber pieces on the bottom and wondered how they justified selling it for $170 with shipping...i can't see that the materials cost more than $15 plus maybe another 10 in labor.

                    2. Don't even think about getting the 1/2 fairway, 1/2 rough option if you have a GC2. I'm a righty, so the rough half was close to the GC2 side ( it wasn't practical to turn it around because I had them install a hitting t) and it caused problems with proper ball pickup and proper spin. The owner had several ideas about raising the height of the GC2, but that was too much of a hassle. In addition, the rough was a major distraction in every way and even interfered when hitting driver. It's flat out a terrible idea and shouldn't be an option!

Ultimately, i sent it back (on my dime), he repaired by cleaning up the side where i pulled off the rough out of frustration, then instead of using a new $5 piece of plexiglass, he butted another fairway piece against the original and glued it down. Not the way that I would have done it considering that there is a very visible seam down the middle and a minor distraction. He then sent it back to me...on my dime again...so finally after paying 210 that maybe cost $25, I've got a hitting surface that is actually quite nice to hit from.

two fiberbuilt panels would be exactly the same size because that's what the protee sensor is made from. you just have to shim them up.

I bought my CCE insert a 1x2 and it fit like a glove on ebay I think it was like 42 bucks. pretty cheap. feels great and it's very true.. I mean if you hit it fat the gc2 reads it and when you pure it it goes the distance. i have the protective case on the gc2 but yes I do get a little worried. but most of my friends are pretty good players so I have less worry about it.. but it is a concern.
