TGC for SkyTrak will only work when you buy it from SkyGolf online. Buying TGC from another user will not work with your SkyTrak....

No I'm saying that if you have a SkyTrak you can not buy TGC from anyone else.

ProTee United, to clarify, if another user purchased TGC for their Skytrak, could their TGC license be transferred to a different Skytrak owner? Or are you saying when you buy a TGC license for a Skytrak, that license is forever tied to that specific Skytrak and is impossible to transfer to a different skytrak unit?

A SkyTrak user can only buy a TGC license from SkyTrak/SkyGolf online. Not from anyone else.
SkyTrak needs a hardware activation which is set on your SkyTrak when you buy TGC from SkyTrak/SkyGolf online.

So I guess it's at the discretion of Skygolf if they want allow TGC to transfer from one SkyTrak user to another, right ?

ProTee- Can I add to this scenario to the original question. What if I purchase the WGC license through sky golf for my sky track. In the future can/could I sell that license to another individual who does not have a sky track unit? New to this forum, so sorry if I am repeating another thread.

Wondering if you have TGC license through Skygolf for a Skytrak. Years later decide to go with a GC2, can that TGC license be transferred to the GC2 unit?

Yes to the tranferring tgc from skytrak to GC2.

And im assuming you meant to say TGC instead of WGC in the post before this too, dont think protee has anything to do with WGC, If so, then yes, I believe you can transfer your TGC license to anyone who isnt a skytrak user if my understanding is correct. Im sure ill be corrected if im wrong here

Just FYI, I'm selling my SkyTrak + PIP + TGC, and SkyGolf told me I cannot transfer TGC to anyone, even if they buy my SkyTrak unit. I have to give them my SkyGolf account. Pretty stupid, and I will never again support a company that does not let me transfer a license on a $1000 piece of software.

Yes, this is just plain stupid on their part.

This was the biggest deterrent for me to buying sim with SkyTrak. I ended up returning the unit, after the stunt they pulled over the weekend.

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but there is some going back and forth. If I (no SkyGolf existing account) was to buy the setup from haysuess would that transfer to me and would able to play TGC with that unit?

Another scenario... I buy a used ST with no TGC. I then buy a used TGC license from another seller, could I use that with the ST?

If you bought my setup, I would give you access to my account along with the hardware. You would have the SkyTrak, PIP until 10/2/2017, and lifetime access to TGC.

If you buy SkyTrak elsewhere, you cannot buy TGC anywhere but for $995 directly from the retailer.

For the first question, legally you can't use the other person TGC license . Unless that person gives you access to his account. This a skygolf restriction, not protee.

with SkyTrak, you can't buy a TGC license from another user and use it with your account. Have to cough up 1k.

I know it's a pricing scheme meant to screw the customer
