  • E6 on iPad with Mevo+ therefore no internet?

Can you help me with something? I'm trying to use my Mevo+ with E6 on my iPad. But since the two connect via Wi-Fi, the iPad loses the connectivity to internet. As a result E6 cannot connect and works degraded offline.

Sorry if this sounds silly but I'm puzzled 🤨

I think you need to connect to E6 first, log in get everything set up, then connect to the Mevo+, I think after the initial E6 setup, you can use it in offline mode for 10-20 times before needing to log back into E6 to confirm your license. This is just something I saw on a video, I don't have actual experience using the Mevo+

this is correct, although I think the offline session limit is 5-6

Yes.. for an iPad without cellular data, you need to launch E6 while connected to your home WiFi first... set it up, and be sure to download all the courses so you can later play them offline when when connected to the Mevo+ WiFi... there's a setting to allow your profile to be available for selection while offline as well, I just forgot where to find it, but it's helpful if you find that and select it as well... once you get those things sorted, you can select your profile, and play the ranges and 5 courses while offline. I find what you lose though, is the ability for E6 to save your range data and such to their cloud, since you are playing offline. I haven't figured out a way to have offline data stored to my E6 account later.. so I think it's only an option if you have an iPad with cellular data, or an iPhone with a data plan.

I've heard of some that have gotten a dongle that allows you to connect an ethernet cable to your firewire port on the iPad so you can connect to the internet via ethernet, and connect your wifi to the Mevo+... but sounds like a hassle to me.. and I lose my ability to connect to my HDMI cable/projector via that same firewire port, so I just play offline and don't worry about saving my E6 range data...

With the Mevo+ license, you don't have access to online play against others anyway, so just download the courses, play locally alone or with buddies, and every 5 times or so you may need to launch E6 while connected to your home WiFi again like GungHoGolf mentioned, just to let the app validate your license.

Thanks. So it's not that obvious. I found the E6 manual and it kind of refers to this. When I check the E6 license for the Mevo in my account, it does not seem activated: the "Core License" seems OK as it shows as bound to my device (iPad), while the "Flightscope Mevo+" does not. I've tried connection sharing with my iPhone but it uses Wi-Fi. I'll try my wife's Android

Mmmmmm.... So in Bluetooth with an Android I have both the radar connected and internet access. But E6 still shows a demo license with 1course available. Sounds like I have a problem here. How do I enable the Mevo+ license in E6?

You can get E6 on an Android? I thought it was iOS and PC only

No. I use an Android device as a Bluetooth modem so I can maintain an internet connection while connecting to the radar through wifi

Professor you need to open E-6 and look for the E-6 shopping bag symbol that is to the left of the settings button (gears symbol) and you will see a button that says redeem. Hit that and you should be given a choice to enter the license number or scan the QR code

There was a problem with my license. The support fixed it and I'm now all set. That does not love the limitation of internet access, but I got to enjoy E6 to a fuller extent

Ok still waiting on my mevo+, but a question I haven't been able to find anywhere. If you get the full e6 connect for Ipad vs the one that comes with the mevo+, does it need internet to run the full version or is downloading it and running offline an option like the smaller one?

I got the E-6 300.00 subscription and downloaded the courses prior to playing them. You do not need an internet connection to play the courses. You do need one if you want to play online. The E-6 website is very confusing when it comes to what and how many course you get. You wind up with a total of 39 courses, the 5 you start with plus 34 more. See this thread for course list https://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum...cription-w-ios The 600.00 subscription gives you something like almost another 60 course.

Is that just IOS that doesn’t require internet or is that for PC as well?
