Flightscope Mevo+ vs Uneekor - Prelim First Look

Ok since my inbox blew up I did a quick first look video LOL. I am so used to Flightscope not allowing wind, I left it ON for the Uneekor! Ooops! Still a good first look comparison. Much more to come. What do you think?

Data looks really close between the two units. I think if the wind setting was off on the Uneekor they would have been within a yard of each other. What jumped out to me was ball speed between the two units:

    Uneekor : Mevo+

    1st shot: 59.7 -- 61
    2nd shot: 103 -- 104
    3rd shot: 114.5 -- 114.8
    4th shot: 119.2 -- 119.5
    5th shot: 121 -- 121
    6th shot: 26.4 -- 27

All within 1mph and 4 out of 6 within .6 mph . Uneekor looks cool, but you could buy 3 Mevo+ units for the same price and Uneekor is not portable. Unless you really need / want the video feedback the data between the two systems is almost identical. Spin on 5 out of 6 was within 100 rpm between the two systems. To me looks like value for dollar the Mevo comes out pretty darn good.

Love the content you are putting out and looking forward to seeing additional testing going forward.

I agreed on the ball speed. Crazy close! Both are a great value in my opinion. Mevo+ has its portability and outdoor use and Uneekor has amazing club camera review and data. I also have not even scratched the surface on the built in tools of Uneekor like swing cameras and software. So you put 2 lists together and it comes to personal preference I think just from an early look. Both seem to be a great value and unique.

Great video,,,, The differences in side spin and LA were consistent. Which leads me to believe that there is a set up issue on one or both. A very minor setup issue though. You can use a right angle triangle calculator to see which system is correct. http://www.csgnetwork.com/righttricalc.html Measure the ball mark on the screen ( distance to center and floor) Knowing that distance and the distance from tee to screen, you can figure out the exact angles. All other data looked extremely close.

Uneekor is most likely estimating VLA similar to how SkyTrak did using the size of the ball in the frame. Being above (or beside for the SkyTrak analogy) most likely leads to a wider measurement error as we’re talking tiny size differences in a short window I’d think.

If FS has acknowledged some spin tweaks coming let’s hope they can get a bit tighter. I’d guess the Uneekor is pretty accurate with those dots available to measure spin.

The launch monitor space is getting interesting. Lots of units that are good at “affordable” prices. Will be interesting to see if this puts any pressure on the super high end units to price lower of time (I suspect not as they’ll still target pros and clubfitters mainly).

Yeah I agree. Both FS Mevo+ and Uneekor are in great price points and have their own good value to users needs or wants.

Uneekor does not measure HA like Skytrak. Pretty sure that the Uneekor has stereo cameras. Stereo cameras have no need to measure the size of the ball. The computer compares the images from each camera and does some math that is beyond most of us..... And by the time that you pick your head up, the shot is launched. Ball speed HA and LA are incredibly accurate for systems like the Uneekor.
