Original mevo question - ball flight distance

Was thinking of the original mevo as an option after owning an optishot. I have limited space ...I only have room for irons. I have a spornia net with 6 feet of ball flight and 5.5 feet behind me. Everything I have read about the mevo states you need 8 feet of ball flight. Any one with experience with less? If so, did it work okay? Any other solutions in that price range if not?

You may already know this, but the original Mevo can't be used as a sim.

Just thought I'd mention it since you said you're coming from an optishot.

Thank you. Yes, aware it isn't a sim. I actually Facebook messaged flight scope yesterday and they responded unsurprisingly that they can't guarantee that it will work and that the recommendation is 8 feet.

What parameters are you most interested in? There’s a few decent options for club/ball speed with limited flight but nothing I’m aware of at a similar price that has launch angle or spin.

Basically the most stats I can get in the space I have. What would you recommend? PRGR?

I started with a Voice Caddie SC200 which my club fitter recommended. Ball speed and club speed were very accurate for me even with 6’ ball flight. Distance estimates decent for what data it had (irons it was pretty close for me but driver it over estimated as I fight too much spin with driver). For the money I thought it was a good device. It requires a ball to be hit (almost golf balls worked) to read club head speed so it didn’t work for swing speed training if you weren’t hitting a ball. I gave it to my friend so it’s not here to check but I think it suggested about 6’ behind also.

I’ve never tried the PRGR but it may be a step up and I do think you can get swing speed without hitting a ball which can be useful.

Upgrading to something that measures spin well probably costs a lot more and/or needs more space unfortunately.
