  • iPad overheating when using E6 connect

I have the latest base model ipad and it is constantly overheating, slowing to halt and shutting down when running E6. Has anyone else had issues with this?

I have a base model iPad 6th gen. No issues. Unless its outside in direct sun, then my iPad might overheat and shut down..

I have a new IPad Pro in an otter box case. I had it shut down once while it was sitting in direct sunlight. Since then when playing mid day I make sure it’s in the shade. Is yours in a case?

Yeah, I have one of those foam/kids/soft cases. After about 30-60 minutes of use it's burning up and things in E6 get real choppy.

Try without the case. iPads shut down when they overheat, and some cases can prevent the normal cooling of their aluminum case.

Really hope E6 will provide the base Flightscope package on PC, not sure why this wouldn’t be provided. I play on an iPad Pro and no heating issues.

Sounds like E6 is super close to releasing updated graphics on iOS.

I set a huge sunbrella for my iPad Pro when playing outside exposed to the south but It was so uncomfortable that now I play with e6 PC with a 10 meter hdmi cord and an old 40 inches TV and a Bluetooth mouse. This is so much better for playing in sim, you can stay on the mat which is not the case with an iPad, especially if you need glasses to read closer and need to remove them to swing

For those using the iPad Pro...is it the new 11 version? If so, are you projecting it to a screen and does it display in 4x3 or 16x9 format...I heard Pro's display in 16x9 but curious if the newer smaller iPad Pro 11" screen does this?
