  • Mevo+ Issue connecting to E6 Demo on Laptop

I've had no issues connecting the Mevo+ to wifi on both my Ipad and laptop, but having E6 recognize it had been an issue. Based on another user recommending I now open the FS golf app after connecting on the Ipad, then closing it and opening E6 has worked 100% of the time so far. However, I haven't been able to get E6 on my laptop to recognize the connection with the Mevo+. I've got the laptop connected to a hard line for internet, and will find the Mevo+ quickly on wifi, but E6 isn't able to find it. I'm hoping to ultimately run the mevo+ on E6 with the laptop, but I'm not looking to make the investment past downloading the demo until I am confident it will connect reliably!

Also, is this something TGC wouldn't have an issue with? Is there a demo available for comparison?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    Regards,

    Jeff

There is no demo for TGC. You can by the PC version on steam I believe to see what it may look like.

All your laptop needs to do is connect to the Wifi signal the Mevo+ emits. You cannot be connected to it by two devices at once, so make sure you force-close the FS Golf app on your device before trying to connect with the laptop. Both E6 Connect and TGC connect to the Mevo+ easily.

To be connected to the internet at the same time as the Mevo+ with your laptop, you'll either need to use an ethernet cable for your internet connect, or purchase a second USB Wifi adapter ($20) like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YWNR3NS

I have confirmed that the Laptop is the only device connected to the mevo+. It seems it will not connect if I have the ethernet cable plugged in, but will connect if the ethernet cable is unplugged and I manually go into the simulator setup. Weirdly, it doesn't find the mevo+, but rather the "Flightscope Xi" unit and connects to it. Is there a settings issue I have that is making the mevo+ connect as an Xi?

edit: If I connect the ethernet after the mevo+ is connected it allows me access to the internet and gameplay.

Update! I spoke to Flightscope and my router was assigning the same IP address to my ethernet connection as the Mevo+ was to wifi. This was confusing the laptop and not allowing it to connect to both. Flightscope basically told me I just couldn't play online which is crazy. I called in to IT (my father) and he helped me change the ip address that my router was assigning and I seem to be issue free now! Between this change, and a mobile charger (5V, 2.1A) I seem to have solved all the connection issues and no longer have the Mevo+ disconnecting! I'll update if this changes.

Hi! You just saved the day! I was having the exact same issue and once I unplugged my Ethernet my mevo+ connected to the wifi.

I was wondering if you can shed some light on how to change the IP address so I can use the internet?

      thanks again!
