  • Mevo+ normal indoor setup vs. short indoor

I have the room to setup with the normal instead of the short distances. If anyone uses the longer indoor setup is the accuracy better than the short? I'm still in the build stage and that would impact where I cut the floor opening for the hitting insert.

Can anyone please advise about which projector to use with the Mevo+ and iPad. Thank you

You should probably try searching for that answer or at least start your own topic...

I have mine setup at 13’ ball to screen and have it set to normal indoor not short. I’ve never had a no read on my drives so it’s working well for me. However when I really lean into a drive I find it starts to struggle with reading side spin accurately. Any shot with a club head speed over 115mph usually goes nearly dead straight. This isn’t surprising to me because when the ball starts travelling that fast the mevo only has a few milliseconds to track ball spin before it hits the screen.

So the longer the distance from ball to screen the more accurate the spin data will get on really fast shots. Anything less than 3 wood really shouldn’t make much difference.

I have 20 feet of space between Mevo+ and screen. When I was planning my layout back in May, I asked FS support if I should use short indoor at 8/12 ft setting or indoor at 7/13 ft. They recommended I use Indoor mode. At that time indoor recommendation was 7-9 ft between ball and Mevo+. I see now they recommend 8 ft behind ball for both indoor and short indoor. In my conversation with FS support they implied more accurate club data at 8ft as the unit picks up the club sooner.

I have been using indoor mode at 7/13 feet and have been happy with the performance.

In FS most recent webinar they suggest more distance the better and indoor mode if you have the space, especially with higher ball speed. He mentioned higher ball speed as 170,180,190s. I dont have that issue, my max ball speed is 160

If I could I would go 8/13 and indoor mode.

        Here’s what Flightscope said:

If you have the spacing for the standard indoor mode, we do suggest this set up. This allows for more area for the mevo+ to capture data. Also with a longer distance from the tee to the net the tracking distance is longer and thus more accurate. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
