Advice for setting up Mevo+ with outdoor net

Looking for some advice on an outdoor setup with net. At the moment, I am planning on buying a Mevo+, but a few questions I'd love some thoughts on:

1. What is the minimum distance I need from mat to net if using outdoors?
2. Does that minimum distance change if I want to hit a driver?
3. Does the unit itself need to be on the same surface as the mat? Long story short, I am going to have the mat on deck that is 2-3 feet off the ground, so was thinking I could just put the mevo+ on a 2-3 foot platform a few feet behind the end of the deck. Would this work?

The outdoor, indoor, short indoor is based on distance from ball to net, not if you are actually outdoors or indoors. Below is the current setup guide. With radar the more distance you have from ball to net the better. 8ft/8ft is the minimum. Based on the feedback from others, if you have 8ft Mevo+ to ball and 10 ft to net in short indoor that is the ideal minimum. I run my set up in indoor mode at 7ft/13ft as this was suggested as better by FS support than short indoor at 8ft/12 ft. This was also when the Mevo+ range for indoor was 7-9 ft. It has preformed well at this setup so havent changed.



You don't need to change setup for driver. The tee height you set in the program is if there is any difference between the ground where Mevo+ is and your mat. Do not take into account any tee you might put the ball on. The Mevo+ cannot be higher than the ball.

In an ideal set up the Mevo+ is at the same height as the mat from the Mevo+ to the ball. They have had problems when there is a valley between between the mevo+ and ball. It looks like you might need to build a bridge from Mevo+ to ball. I have read about others doing this with success if it is wide enough.
