pjw_2: Are you sure you don't have the E6 auto-putting feature on?!? because radar definitely has nothing to do with making putts. (more like not registering putts).
New firmware update for Mevo+ (Version 0.13)

I'm positive I don't have auto-putting turned on as there is no option to auto-putt in the practice areas. For the scenario I experience in an actual round, these "ghost putts" go 40+ feet past the hole, which even if auto-putting was turned on for the round (which it wasn't), I wouldn't expect the putts to go blowing past the hole.
Convinced this is a bug, but I haven't heard back from e6 support yet...

Fyi, I just spent a good 2 hours chipping and pitching on E6 using 0.16 and I don't remember having a single misread.
Not that it happened super often before but I don't think I've had so few in such a long session.
Let's hope they don't break because I like it this way.
I don't bother with the putting personally but the few putts I made worked. But because of the 12deg incline used by E6 who knows where you're supposed to put the ball for putting.
Cheers,

Not sure what you mean by this but radar has everything to do with making putts. That is how the mevo+ tracks the ball.Originally posted by VoodooZ View Postbecause radar definitely has nothing to do with making putts.

Flightscope has stated that they recommend a distance of 7’ from ball to mevo+ when setting up for putting.Originally posted by VoodooZ View PostBut because of the 12deg incline used by E6 who knows where you're supposed to put the ball for putting.

Sorry. I meant that it's unlikely that the radar would make putts happen by itself. Sounds more like one of the various auto-putt modes is on but something to check first.Originally posted by Shankz View Post

Yeah but that's based on their setup which is not using 12 degrees of incline so who knows anymore with everybody using different setup and firmware..Originally posted by Shankz View Post

Personally I bought the radar to work on my swing over the winter and not so much to play games so I'm not too bothered by it.
You're better off practicing on a mat with a cup.. And even then.. every greens are different so I practice that in the summer more.
If I can hit all my GIR I'll get plenty of practice.

I am new to the forum and I know there are a lot of posts on putting with Mevo Plus. I updated to the latest Mevo Plus version (.16) and I am still getting ghost putting on TGC 2019. I don’t know what else to try. I go to training on TGC 2019 and hit the putting range and as soon as the putting green displays, it just keeps putting over and over again. My tilt is set to 11 degrees and roll is .1. Is there something else I should try?

Sounds like an interference issue then. Have you tried the Flightscope interference tool or had tech support help you with it?
If the tool is showing spikes when you're even playing then there's something in view of the radar that's catching it's attention. A spinning fan or metallic objects are quoted as such items.

Steelers, have you always had a ghost putting issue or is this something that has only begun to occur after the last couple of firmware revisions? If you have always had it then it very well maybe as voodoo says, an interference issue. However if it’s just begun then it is more than likely a a firmware revision issue. It has been reported here by several users including myself. If you can find the interference app use it. If not shut down all electrical appliances and lights where you are putting and see what happens. Flightscope has the ability to log in remotely to revert your mevo+ to an early firmware version if necessary. Either way I would suggest you call Flightscope support and tell them what’s going on, don’t just send feed back and emails. I myself have not updated the firmware with this last revision as I don’t have the dual WiFi connection needed to allow FS support to log in remotely. Best of luck.

I found the same issue recently with our setup. The hitting screen is 5m(w) x 3m(h) and it turns out it was our projector refresh rate. It was set to default on 60hz via Hdmi. After changing it to 120Hz we don't have ghost putting at all.
My theory is that due to the 60Hz refresh rate the hitting screen effectively becomes a huge "fluorescent light source" which causes the ghost putting.
Try setting your projector settings to anything other than 60Hz to see if it works for you.

I have an Optoma GT1080HDR DLP projector connected to a laptop via HDMI. The refresh rate on the projector info screen is 60Hz. For the life of me, I can’t get it changed to 120. Frustrating!!! I’ll work on that more tomorrow. I have my laptop set up just outside of the hitting cage which sits about 15 feet from the Mevo +. I thought that might be causing the interference. I moved my laptop behind the Mevo and tried the putting and still got the ghost putting. Not sure what else would be causing the interference. The only other thing I have that is running is the projector, which is sitting on the floor in an enclosed protection cage about 10 feet in from the Mevo Plus. I will probably have to give Flightscope a call and see what they say.
Everything else seems to be working fine. Driving range, chipping area and any course I play works perfect until I get to the green. If I figure it out, I post the solution.

I just purchased TGC 2019 about 2 weeks ago. Didn’t really try out the putting until recently so I’m not sure if the older versions had ghost putting issues. More to come.

I think I figured out my issue with my projector only processing at 60Hz. My HDMI cable will only process up to that speed. I need to update the cable. I'll try that today and update the post.

@Steelers157
If you are on Windows just right click on the screen and go to display settings.
If you click the advanced display settings you will be able to set the projector's refresh rate.
The HDMI cable shouldn't make a difference but then again anything is possible these days.
