No reads when hitting shots

Hi flight scope members!

been using Mevo+ since mid December.

I am just wondering how many no reads do people get when they are using the Mevo+ for full swing and pitches using FS Golf app?

I get approx 8-14 in a 60-80 shot session. Is this normal?

I know some of the shots would cause no reads because of a crappy golf swing.

I would say I get about 20 per 100 mis/no-reads with the FS golf app. Yes some of them are poor shots that I would expect to be a problem. However, some sound and feel like I nailed it and I get nothing but the radar beep and 0.0 on the spin axis. Funny thing is that I almost never that I can remember get any no reads when using the E-6 range.

Cool seems like we are have the same experience with fs golf. I will try E-6 range next time I'm in my garage. I just like FS golf range as it has angle of attack and announces carry distance.

I don't use the FS app, I only use TGC2019. Full shot no-reads maybe 1 in 200 shots. Extremely rare for me.

That's impressive hardly any no reads with TGC. Let me play around with E6 more before I make that investment.

I get some no-reads with putts and chips but very rare with full shots

I’d put no reads on shots of 50 yards or more at virtually zero after the first shot of the session (for some reason shot 1 is almost always all zeros.

Short chips are more hit and miss. I am still on firmware .12 as I was offline for a bit when updates started happening so I’ve skipped the recent ones so far.

Interesting! Why does the number of successful readings depend on the quality of the swing?

I don't have experience with Mevo+, but with Mevo I don't get a reading in approximately 90% of cases.

I don’t think it’s quality of swing as much as quality if strike. I get almost zero no reads but I didn’t think to add that my daughter gets some when she hits it really poorly. When she cold tops one with low swing speed Mevo+ misses about half (SkyTrak usually picked up shot but the data was way off). These are tops that verge on bouncing over my 6’ high net but with such low speed don’t mark the wall. All her other shots read fine.

I think folks caveat bad shots because extreme bad shots can simply be out of the field of view.

Hi all,

Yesterday I used the E6 range. Hit about 80 full shots, 20 pitches and did not have any no reads. 0 no reads that was crazy. I even hit some snap hooks, worm burners and chunks E6 still read them.

I will be submitting this to flightscope support crazy how one app works better then the other.

Maybe the device is closer and is on a different tilt. Who knows.

I'll add to this. I get more misreads on iOS FS Golf (brand new gen 8 ipad) than I do on Android FS Golf (3 years old Samsung Galaxy Note 9). I have confirmed this across multiple sessions so its not just a one off.
I can then switch to e6 on iOS after adjusting the tilt and get 0 no reads...

Obvious the environment and mevo+ are the same so there should be absolutely no reason for the above to happen.
