New Mevo +,distance off - is it me or setup

Just got a Mevo + and my distances aren't matching what I normally play (10-20 yards short) on both irons and driver. I've read several threads and it's not indoor hitting syndrom (I've been hitting indoors a long time). I'm wondering if it's over compensating for my high spin numbers (I know i need to work on decreasing the spin) or my Setup (i'm using the 8ft to 8ft) with Mevo on garage floor and I'm hitting off a mat. I won't get butt hurt either with feedback . Hope you guys can help

Driver spin is way high, probably being mis-read. In my opinion, the Mevo+ needs more than 8 ft of ball flight to accurately read driver spin with higher speed players, so try teeing up driver at 9-10 ft from screen (can leave Mevo+ at 6-7' from ball when doing this) to see if your spin comes down to realistic range (2400-3000 for your AoA and launch angle).

Your 8-iron carry is accurate for that ball speed, launch angle, and a spin of 7955 (I'm assuming "47955" is a typo). Can check against FlightScope's trajectory optimizer here: https://flightscope.com/products/trajectory-optimizer/.

To get best spin reads, make sure you're using a metallic sticker on the ball, and that you're careful to have it positioned on the target-line axis of the ball (easiest to point it straight up, to distribute contact point around 360 deg equator of ball).

Thanks for the feedback. Is there anything I should avoid hanging/sitting in my garage where Mevo is facing? Currently I'm hitting into a net, but have screen, projector, etc... on order.

The projector fan can be an interference-causing problem if projector is close to the screen (very short throw) instead of at or behind ball position. Worst case, projector can be wrapped in metal mesh to prevent interference. Fluorescent lights should not be used in the room. Otherwise, static objects, even if metal, are rarely if ever an issue.

If you put a Faraday cage around the projector with a cutout for the projection, it should be golden. Just have to make sure you're using a wired connection instead of WiFi, though, since it will lower signal strength
