JakeGeezy I appreciate the tip, and I do that on the course often, however I don't think my shots vary that much. I will go into putting practice and aim for a 15 foot shot, the ball wont even reach my screen ~14ft from where I putt, and sometimes the ball will go 30 feet, other times it will stay short. All the same shots on the same green. Last week I could putt pretty repetitively up to 35 feet( which could have just been the limit of my own consistency). Now with 0.19, I cant do over 10 feet. will be calling support

Have played a few rounds and done a bit of work on the putting/chipping greens in TGC2019.

      Chipping:

As other folks have previously said in this thread, to me this is the best chipping has felt on the mevo+, and it isn’t particularly close. Hop and stop, run of the mill pitch shots, etc. all look and react as one would expect. Previously I had to rely quite a bit on higher flop shots for shorter chips, but I feel like chipping has been improved quite a bit with 0.19.

      Putting:

First few rounds I played, had some similar issues with speed control. Worked and tested more on the practice green. At the end of the day for me, the overwhelming key is whether or not the putt bounces/skids after I strike it. No bouncing, speed is dead on (if a touch fast, but very consistent)… if the putt bounces at all, probably lose 25-40% of speed. It seems to be very very sensitive to any imperfect roll. I have putting turf all over my setup, so can putt off hitting strip to then roll onto putting green turf all the way to screen, or putt on putting turf to start slightly off center from mevo+, but if it is not a super smooth roll, the results are not great.

If they can preserve the gains made for chipping and somehow increase tolerance for imperfect putts roll-wise, may be getting close to the Goldilocks zone for the short game in terms of what I am seeing.

I narrowed down the issue I was having to it having trouble reading putts between 6 and 10 mph. I could just hit balls steady for half an hour and it was impossible to get an 8mph putt, even by accident. I contacted support, and while not a lot of progress was made to figure out the problem I was having with the putting, we did do some noise tests that were sent to them and rolled back the firmware to 0.18. To my suprise, not only is the putting better, but with the RCT balls the spin and green sticking is still good. wedges reading 9000+ RPM and can get some rollback on flat ground or uphill slopes. I will be sticking with 0.18 for the time being. The RCT balls are very highly recommended. I did not know how the Rct balls reacted in 0.18 before as I had bought them right after the update.

I have also noticed that putts are not as good if there is any bouncing or skidding.

Yeah I believe I may also roll back… just getting tired of having a putt bounce just a little and know before even looking up at screen that the putt is dead on arrival.

I know sim putting is not realistic in general, but being able to read a 20 foot birdie putt and feel like you can give it a go without having a 70% chance of something going wrong with the LM would be nice…

Anything that needs to be struck with any pace at all is just really susceptible to the bounce sensitivity for me.

It’s like my Mevo+ can hear me… I thought “let’s give 0.19 one more round this morning before calling support”… and of course I have possibly the best putting experience I have had in a long time… but I was super focused on “closing the door” through my putting stroke to really have the ball hug the ground and get rolling asap.

Maybe I just discovered a super frustrating training aid for a pure roll…

Does support have to roll the FW back or is there a process that you can share to the rest of us?
