    Connecting Mevo+ to projector

    Hey Everyone,

I just purchased the Mevo+ and pro package. I have had a SkyTrak for several years. Anyone with a Mevo+ that can help on connecting to a projector from the app? Do I have to use an HDMI or can I use a streaming stick, plug that into the projector and then use my IPad with the FS app to stream it? My SkyTrak has an HDMI connected to the projector. Didn’t know the best way to go about doing this.

    Thanks!

I connect my Mevo+ to either iPad or PC via wifi, and both of those connect to my projector with their own HDMI. I ran 2 HDMI cables from my projector; one for iPad and one for PC, and I use the projector remote to change the source.

Your other option is to connect the Mevo plus to your Ipad and use Apple TV connected to the projector via HDMI. Your apple tv and Ipad will need to be on the Flightscope mevo wifi signal and that will allow you to mirror the ipad image via airplay. It works well and eliminates any cords from the ipad to the projector.

I installed MEmu play (android emulator) on my PC and installed PureAPK and found FS Golf from there, works as well. See some benefit of just using the computer to not have to connect and disconnect my phone to align target etc before connecting my computer for starting a golf simulator.

I mirror my phone to Amazon fire stick which is always attached to my projector for movies and such like, then can just put phone on table and blast away with fs golf

iPhone? Does that give you a fixed 16:9 aspect ratio?

Do you notice any lag with the Fire stick?

My projector supports AirPlay, is somebody has ever tried to add some (or an Apple TV ) in the Mevo wifi network to avoid hdmi ?

i play outside I must keep my installation (screen projector iPad stands Mevo+) as fast to setup as possible.

Yes AppleTV on the same wifi network as the Mevo+ (the Mevo+ network, not your home wifi network) works great. I dont detect any slowdown - its mirroring the ipad screen and seems super quick (which it should as its fast via wifi signal). Im using an older Apple Tv Series 3 (not series 4 or 5) and its great.

thanks, that’s clever to use an old 1080p ATV it is more reliable than non Apple implementation, and I got one somewhere 😁
Did you find some Golf app that support to be installed on ATV to avoid the iPad at all ?

How do you get the Mevo to connect to FS Golf? Mine just says no 5GHz wifi when I try the emulated wifi

That's strange, it worked out of the box for me, do not think I had to change anything I just connected my computer to the Mevo and presto it worked. However I moved on to running a virtual windows 11 installation with android subsystems, since the MEmu player did not get the latest FS Golf app via PureAPK, since I ran Hyper-V machine MEmu play stopped working without wanting to fix my system to run MEmu - will most likely not look back again.
                    Sorry for the late reply.
                Working...
