Swing Training, Anyone try it yet?

So I set up my mevo+ to give the speed training a go. Grabbed my 7 iron and gave it about 20 swings and got a 58 mph avg. Looked for a range session with my 7 iron and it shows an avg. club speed of 76 mph. Is there any trick to setting up the mevo+? If anybody has tried swing training did you find any strange results?
    Thanks

I only have used it with speed sticks, and they are driver length.. SS registered about where it should be, then hit a few drivers after my session which also was spot on.

Just joined the forum hoping to find more on this topic. I’m also getting odd results. My normal club head speed for 7 iron on Mevo+ had been around 78-83 mph. Tried the speed training feature and getting low 60s on avg. Unable to break 70mph.

If I get a chance I will try it again today with some different clubs to see what my results are.

Same result here. The swing speed registered with no ball is well below the value when hitting a ball.

I was suspecting there may be some different positioning called for.

Are you making sure it's precisely the same distance from the Mevo+ to where you are speed training as it is when you have a ball present? From what I understand, the unit measures the speed at the low point of the swing (where the ball is set to) to get the CHS at impact, so if you're swinging further away or closer to the unit, it's going to register less speed and give you different AOA numbers.

bubbtubbs I set up a 8’ when I tried the swing trading just like when using it for E-6 and full swings with the FS golf app.

For speed training they don’t get the speed at the same spot and time than for a real shot and club because there isn’t any impact.
I saw some speed training program and the important is to accelerate during a session and be able to see it and record it between sessions.
maybe the more horizontal swing plane impacts your speed or maybe we all assumed that speed value recorded should be the top speed but what is important is to deliver a speed that can be compared to another, shots after shots.
To see improvements you go back to full swing and see if you are faster than before and it works, I use the speed sticks warmup routine, it is obvious.

I will start the Stack program this week. Mevo+ was just added as an option in the Stack app. Curious to find out what club I should select or if it matters. The stack club is hybrid length. If it doesn’t matter, I may switch the FS app between hybrid (Stack club) and driver (my gamer).

Wonder if anyone has tried using the Rypstick club. Not interested in paying that much for the Stack system at this time.

Did Stack assessment yesterday. MEVO+ was flawless in swing training mode. Can't say as much for my swing...

Just wanted to update this, I spoke with FS support the other day. Gave them the specifics and send feedback as per their request. I received this email response,
Your case with subject Swing speed is lower in swing training than with actual ball contact. and case number (# xxxxx) has been closed on
                    Status Closed
                    Reference xxxxx
Resolution This is an issue with the app and will be fixed with the next update

I use it with mach 3 speed bomber and jet stick, momentous speed whoosh, and driver with no ball set up exactly where I set it up to actually hit balls and get great results, and driver speed is in range for when I switch to full swing mode. I set up same tilt, location, ECT. The only thing that doesn't work is if you do non dominant side you can't swing towards the mevo plus and get a reading
