Yes, it was a huge improvement. I wrote a mini review on this thread so check it out. I'm barely clearing 15~ 16ft total.

How would you choose "Range Ball Mode"? Can't see it anywhere. Also, is anyone having issues with choosing detailed info for different clubs under Data Table? Only provides detail for Driver even if I choose a different club I hit in the same session. Thanks in advance.

In your bag set up you can add a rangeball and then chose range ball the same way you change clubs.Originally posted by Cris View PostHow would you choose "Range Ball Mode"? Can't see it anywhere. Under data table you can scroll down the whole table from the right corner not just the shots so you get to see all clubs during that session. It's a bit tricky until you figure it out but point at the small black frame area and scroll down.

Thanks a lot, my friend. Needed to fiddle with it quite a bit to figure it out. Not intuitive at all. Couldn't have done it without you, really. Going to test the Range Ball setting tonight. Pretty excited about this. Most excited I've been about anything Flightscope actually. I hope FS starts to take a page from Trackman and overhaul their software instead of going for more horizontals (baseball, etc). Keep your core consumers happy first!

It's a shame. They could spend a day, max, and just write 5 sentences about each option or feature of the apps and have a great user guide. It doesn't take much to document software, and it makes a ton of difference with a very technical measurement device like a FS. Wish they'd make it easier.Originally posted by Cris

I believe Flightscopes thoughts are that new users utilize their free "app training" that is included when you buy the unit new from them...which seems quite silly to me.
They also have training courses you can take that help explain the apps....again completely a money grab. Its 2016...make a 2 min YouTube clip showing all options and provide a 1 page PDF manual on your website.
Most of their customers are PGA pros (teachers) and other professionals in the golf business that utilize these training seminars to learn this stuff, and don't see the huge expense as all that bad, cuz they write it off.
They certainly need more open to the public info on their software,
That said, a call to their tech support would probably be all you need to learn the apps.

In general I'm pretty comfortable with the apps, but I just wish there was more detail out there around some of the settings and options.
I realize they aren't going to explain all the parameters, but simple details like what params are measured vs calculated and basic usage tricks would be nice.
I've documented my share of software and they have a long way to go. They should realize that not all of there customers are pros anymore, I would even guess that the scales are starting to lean a bit more now that the Xi units have been out for a while. Your comments are dead on though, but I'm not paying for a seminar, as I'll never see a return on that investment.

Looks like CaddyDaddy's complaint about not remembering favorite properties is fixed. That should be a nice addition.Originally posted by CrisThere was an update to the App. I haven't tested it yet, but the description sounds promising.
