Probably a long shot but I am wondering if anyone has ever tried a radar system indoors with a pass through screen (Full Swing style)? I am in the infancy stages of designing a simulator room and think I want to use a pass through design screen, but am worried that it may not work with a radar system? I know that Full Swing currently doesn't offer the pass through screen and was told that it was discontinued due to some issues with their ball return system? One of the reasons that I am wanting to go with a pass through screen is that screen material is only available in 10ft wide rolls and am wanting a 12ft x 21.3ft screen (16:9). I have done lots of research and went back and forth on what system I am going to use. My son is a lefty and I don't want to by two camera bases systems so I figured Flightscope might be my best option?
Pass Through Screen With Flightscope?

Don't discount a ProTee setup which works great for right/left combinations. If you have the space and the mindset to properly setup ProTee it should be very accurate and with the added benefit of being pretty cost effective especially as the second hand market for ProTee is pretty buyer friendly. As far as the pass through screen I have no experience so can't offer any help there.

The "pass through screen" really hasn't caught on. It's only been available for a year I believe. Reason it's being "discontinued" is likely that nobody wants it.
The screen size that you are suggesting is almost "cinema" size. Guess money is no object since a projector able to fill that space is not going to be cheap, nor is the screen itself.
Have you played on a commercial sim? Bigger is not always better in terms of screen size. Most commercial sims (that I've played on anyway) use a 4:3 image and don't use as large a screen as the one you describe.
In my experience, there's nothing wrong with 4:3 and 10 feet high is a good size.
Also, if you want to go higher than 10 feet, the material can always be cut and sewn to whatever size you specify.
I use a ProTee and I'd also suggest it as an option. I'm sure someone will chime in about Flightscope. I think the important thing with it is that you have enough distance (for ball flight) for the unit to get a proper reading.
Good luck!

One of the commercial places that I hit balls at use the ProTee system and I believe it seems to be pretty accurate. But I like the simplicity and ability to take to range of the Flightscope, I am not sure if I will miss not having putting with Flightscopes simulation? If that is the case, I thought that I might add a Skytrak for game play, I guess my son will be left out there? I have never seen a sewn screen to my knowledge (I will have to look into and see how they look). Money is always an object (at least for me), I am going to have approx. 1200 sqft total for man cave and plan to use approx. 600 sqft for the golf area. I was wanting 20ft - 22ft width, due to the fact that I have always felt confined in every simulator I have ever hit in and was hoping it would give me more of an outside feel with the extra room, I was also going to use the right side of the width for a putting lane. For a projector I was looking at ViewSonic LS830 but am not sure if 18FL brightness will be sufficient if screen is 1.0 gain (still researching what combination will be best). Thanks for the responses, the biggest problem I was running into was screen size so if sewn looks good and will gold up that may be a solution. Although the pass through still has my interest, thanks again.
