I am concerned about getting a gc2 and it not working with TGC. It says right on the website not supported. Has something changed, and all you guys are grandfathered in. Or is this just legal jargon.

Mostly Legal Jargon. I think Foresight will NEVER help you get it to work. You are on your own. Protee can't guarantee that Foresight won't start locking people out of through a firmware update (simply don't upgrade your firmware). Its mostly a buyer beware type of thing it appears. It works great with TGC and I really wouldn't worry about it.Comment

If you've updated to a later firmware that disabled BT, can you install an earlier version to re-instate it? I wonder if they would be able to prevent you from going to something earlier.Comment

As mentioned previously I am extremely happy with SkyTrak listening to their customers. Renews my faith I made the right decision to buy a 2nd SkyTrak. -

I did this exact thing without issue. I upgraded from Skytrak to a used GC2 and when my GC2 arrived, I had trouble with bluetooth. Downgraded the firmware and it connected over bluetooth immediately. No issues since and no looking back. The Skytrak is a good piece of hardware, but I wanted to be sure that I was getting accurate info. I love the immediate readout on the unit, and the lack of a delay in game. These were enough for me to upgrade. Plus I was able to recoup a good bit of the money selling the Skytrak. I just made the switch. Thanks to the TGC shot recording, I plan on doing a comprehensive comparison of data once I have sufficient GC2 data. Early impressions is that ball speed, back spin, sidespin, launch angle are all very, very similar. I'm noticing horizontal launch angle does seem to be more precise with the GC2. Another area to me that the GC2 shines so far is consistency in picking up lower ball speeds with pitch shots. I feel like my wedge game is now more representative to real life from 100 yards and in. Occasionally, the Skytrak would seem to send some wedge shots much further than what they should be going. One area I am struggling in mightily since the switch is putting. My putts are all coming off with a right HLA bias. I'm thinking it is my worn out CCE hitting strip that is the issue however. I'm going to substitute my other hitting strip in tonight and see if that changes anything.Comment

Edit: forgot to mention the weird thing about all this is that SkyGolf will transfer the GIP or PIP package to another account. For whatever reason, those packages are tied to the device serial number, not the account. But, the yearly simulation subscriptions are tied to the account, not the device.
