Hi Guys/Ladies, I'm a relatively recent GC2 owner using the FSX software. I see alot of the TGC/GC2 posts are from a few years ago so it is good to see a recent one that says it appears to be working with the latest GC2 firmware which I plan on installing in coming weeks. If anyone could assist with the questions below it would be greatly appreciated as it's definitely a blurry topic considering the interface between what seems to be two non-cooperative companies. Also, with a lack of user manuals on software nowadays, I have some TGC / GSX / Protee Interface specific questions.Ultimately, I would like to have the option of using practice balls with my GC2 for operation in more sensitive areas. I understand the level of realism goes out the window and therefore Foresight will not endorse any such idea.
- Has anyone procured the software from Protee United inc. TGC, GSX and Protee interface semi recently? They seemed to be hesitant in providing information regarding TGC working with GC2, but I need confirmation that it will otherwise why would I purchase it?
- Did anything come of that SDK fee from Foresight for newer firmware versions to allow the use of TGC with a GC2?
- Is TGC fully functional without internet access? I don't normally have my simulator PC online.
- Can you play multiplayer games without playing online? I read somewhere it is single player only with online competitions.
- The main differences using practice balls (Almost Golf balls for example) is the reduced ball speed (and hence carry) as well as the lower launch angle (I think the spin levels are very usable already). Is there anyway of changing the ball speed or more importantly the ball carry using either an adjustment within GSX or Protee interface essentially boosting this value, or not as ideal but maybe there is a boost function within the game? I see something that says "Practiceball speed increase factor" in one of the softwares, so that is a good start.
- Is there a way of adjusting values within GSX / Protee interface to increase that launch angle?
- Am I correct somewhat in that when connecting the GC2 to PC via Bluetooth the GC2 provides raw values that GSX can interpret. GSX then provides these values to the Protee interface which in turn sends useable data to TGC? If so surely lots of variables are adjustable as TGC shouldn't be setup to use real values I wouldn't have thought.
