So.... I unboxed my new GC2 today. It took a little bit of reading but I managed to get shots flying on TGC quite quickly. I really didn't have a lot of time tonight to play with it but here are my first thoughts. I really think that chipping and pitching is extremely accurate. Tomorrow, I will run through the whole bag of shots. I can chip 2 yards and stop it at 3 yards. I really feel that the correct amount of spin was going on the chip....every time. With my FB mat I can really put a lot of spin on the ball even with slow ball speed. So far.... really impressed. Then I started at a 50 yard target. I practice this distance a lot with my PX5 sim. Again.....very impressed with speed LA and spin. I am building a new sim computer this week.... so it will be a few days before I can put the PX5 side by side with the GC2. I bought another copy of TGC so I should be able to hit one ball to be measured by two sims at the same time. I thought that I would use the GC2 to dial my PX5 settings in even better. The fact is that.... I hardly could tell the difference..... the ball went as I thought it should....... just like the PX5. With my PX5, I very rarely doubt the displayed shot. Today, with the GC2, I felt the same way. Even the green side chipping went as expected. I was a little worried as the PX5 is accurate down to 1/10 of a degree for direction and the GC2 down to 1 degree. It seems that the faster the ball speed, the more dead on the GC2 was for direction. I even chipped one about 25 degrees off center to see if it would pick it up. Is chipping better on the GC2.....after about 40 shots.... I would say that it is a little better which makes it great!
The main reason for me to get the GC2 was.... that I really want to sell my existing sim with my house. Setting up in the new place is not the issue. I would have to redo my flooring and part of the ceiling to pull the sim out. Setting up the GC2 in the new place will be easier. Hopefully I can be happy with the putting.....
Here comes the dumb questions.
How much light is needed for the best results?
Bright white shoes.....Problem... yes no?
Any putting tips?
The reason I bought another copy of TGC is that selling the PX5 without TGC is like selling a car that doesn't run. Red chain is just terrible.
