Is there any way of previewing courses before taking the plunge and buying?
On the Foresight page I can get a 1 hole flyover, but it would appear that's it. I've bought several courses that I've played once or twice and will probably never play again because I don't think they're that great.

Any recommendations? I fancy a new one, but not sure what to get - and don't want to waste more money on something that's not very good!

$1K for 3 courses is out of control and that is technically on sale! (They look like they want $1,500.00 for them when not on sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I know they have to pay license fees for those courses, but good luck selling them at that price. I would still call to see if I could get a discount on those, but you are right, when they put them up on that page, they are generally non negotiable. I wonder how many units they have sold for the zombies and roulette at $500 per. I agree the newer courses look better, and improvements have been made, but they have an uphill battle with all the software competition out there. I am holding onto FSX for the sole value of it down the road as related to a potential future Quad purchase.

Totally agree. The pricing for zombies and roulette is laughable. I'd pay about $50 for those. E6 has the three Del Monte Courses for $500 and that is not on sale.

Wow, those courses look like crap compared to TGC and JNPG and TRUGOLF 1.6
Can't believe they sell any at all

The newer courses from FSX are showing some detail improvement as compared to early ones like Akron for example, but no 3 courses in any software is worth $1K. I'm hoping they get their business model hammered out and geared more to the consumer in the next couple of years, cause it feels like they only deal with super rich customers at this point.

Same here... I got told today that $1000 is the cost for the 3 of them. This is a SALE price and it’ll go up to $1500 soon. What are they playing at? The pricing structure for those clearly isn’t geared at home users in their garage. That’s more than some complete simulation packages which come with with loads of FREE courses. (TGC with 130000+ courses is $1000!).

i do think the recreations are much more accurate on fsx than tgc and that isn't their competition - HOWEVER, when I bought my machine part of the deal was that courses would be $99 for more of them in the future -- and yet this one is 500$ per course? i wonder if there is some sort of fine print or not --- if there isn't and in my contract it says that then isn't that a breach of contract?

I completely agree - FSX courses are a much more realistic representation than TGC... but that’s because most of the TGC courses are made by users rather than specific course designers.

I also have an agreement with my Foresight rep to get the courses at <$100 each, but I have nothing in writing and no terms and conditions.

I wonder if this is the start of Foresight taking on courses like TPC Sawgrass and other big name courses, and charging $500 for them?
I guess I’ll be sticking with smaller named ones... or buying E6!

Would you guys say the FSX RCRs are better than the TGC ones done by the really newnowned designers like CLV?

The Pebble Beach courses are registered trademarks and they have to pay licensing fees to sell these courses. That being said TruGolf sells this 3 pack for $500 so unless Foresight has some really shitty negotiators they are sticking it to their customers. Real curious if they are going to sell many of these.

Ok guys, I bit the bullet and purchased the Pebble courses. I feel a bit raped but I've made a fair chuck with the bitcoin frenzy so I said what the heck. I'll get them up on my youtube channel as soon as I can.

mmlincon, I am curious to hear your thoughts about the Pebble courses?

Oh and by the way. By far and away the best experience with purchasing courses through Foresight. I made the purchase and they were activated on my account just over an hour later. This usually takes a day or more.

Maybe so, but I’d rather wait a couple of days and pay the discounted price I do for them!!
Look forward to hearing your views and seeing your videos of the new courses.

Yeah, ideally they would all be at a lower fixed price with a bundle discount or something along those lines. Anyway, I've got the recordings done and I have to say these are the best renditions of Pebble and Spyglass I've seen on any sim software. I've play both IRL. I never made it to The Links at Spanish Bay but it looks very good too. Can't wait to play them.

Maybe some day when I get the Quad, they could throw this package in at a large discount. Great to hear they are good renditions and look forward to seeing your videos.

I was going to purchase the pebble package but saw windows 8 is required. I’m at windows 7 and am wondering if upgrading to 8 is going to be a hassle. I don’t mind paying the fee I just don’t want to have to reinstall everything.

                    And then there is this

People who require assistive technologies still quality for the free upgrade, though Microsoft doesn't ask for any evidence that you actually use such tools.

I’m new to the forum and was looking to get course suggestions for fsx. I have the 5 they give you and have purchased 6 additional courses to choose. From reading previous posts and watching the course fly overs I plan on getting Coeur D’alene, nine lakes, and quarry at Giants ridge. My question is what would be the three best courses to add not including the pebble beach courses. Thanks a lot for your help

I bought Pebble also and had it within a short time. It’s beyond me why we can’t log in, use paypal, and download any course. I sent a request to buy two other courses over a week ago. Sent me an order form Monday. Confirmed they’d process asap. I get a receipt Friday, but still no courses. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They could make so much more automating the purchase process.
