  • Can I use non-Foresight Software on a GC2?

Hi everyone.. I"m new to the forum. I own a GC2 and have FR1 and FSX software. I'm wondering if it's possible to use other software than Foresights? If so which ones and how do I go about doing that?

    Thanks!

Pretty much can use any major sim software. It will not be supported by Foresight but they will work well. I think it can be made to work with:

      1) TGC
      2) PG
      3) E6 (using protee interface)
      4) creative golf 3d

      Lots of great options

Can you help me out? So I have FR1 (dongle version) and FSX (not 2018) online version. Those softwares are limited in the courses they offer.. or way to expensive to add more. And I'd like to access some of the better "gaming/contest" features of something like E6. So what does it mean to have the ProTee Interface?

You must have the Protee interface to access TGC (not sure on the others). Right at the top of the foresight forum is the info you need. You might also check on my posts. I just added TGC to my GC2......LOVE IT

In addition to the software that everyone is already familiar with, there are three or four kinds of software that can be used: pro on golf, okongolf, xswing golf, youyungolf. These can all be used by gc2. They are all from South Korea's development team, the software has good entertainment. Sex, especially the simulation of 18 courses, with rich sound effects and great satisfaction of the scene

That looks interesting. How did you know that this was integrated with GC2? How come they never advertised, because I know for fact that Korea and Far East Asia definitely doesn't know much about GC2 and don't own as much as the US.

Just so I'm straight with this Leo mode when you say "because I know for fact that Korea and Far East Asia definitely doesn't know much about GC2 and don't own one."

Are you saying you know for a fact that nobody in Korea or the Far East own a GC2????

I didn't mean to say nobody in Korea or Far East owns a GC2. That wouldn't make sense. Even a person in Liechtenstein could own one. Thus I edited the post. I meant to say GC2 is definitely not familiar in Korea and Far East and thus people don't own one as much as the US.

I lived/worked in Korea and the Far East so I can speak for this. Compared to the US, the usage is peanuts. Foresight Korea has recently pushed for a lot of promotions on GC Quad and they don't even promote GC2. Most consensus is that Trackman is the industry leading device and their market share is much higher than that of Foresight products. Lastly, especially in Korea indoor simulator is more prominent, Golfzon holding more than 70% of its market share.

          Hope this clarifies for you.

Able to get to websites for okongolf and xswinggolf. Unable to locate proongolf and youyungolf. They look fine. Have you used their software with gc2.

The market share of gc2 in the Asia-Pacific region is relatively small. More user groups in Korea are golfzone and other products. I will put some pictures on it.

Hey, so any update for external software from Asia with GC2? Also how did you find that out in the first place? I was surprised that there were so many options available. I would love a Korean software (i.e. Golfzon, G Swing, etc.) to be implemented if possible since their software is pretty awesome.

If you google those companies you will be able to go to their websites (pro on golf, okongolf, xswing golf, youyungolf). I was able to get to two of the websites, the other two unable to find. One of the companies had extensive website and you could do a fly over of every hole on every course to get an idea about the courses. They had hundreds of courses. Unsure if able to connect to GC2. One or both of the sites did have Skytrack on them. Clearly have a relationship with Skytrack.

I just talked to Paron Golf and Xswing Golf. (I couldn't get a hold of Okon Golf). Xswing golf doesn't support GC2. Paron Golf supports GC2 but is $2500 per PC and offers 130+ courses and a driving range. Also, they require 3.8 firmware version (odd that they don't prefer or allow 3.5 or 4.0 which are the most popular firmware versions). I asked if they have a demo so I will update here. If the graphic is 4K I think this could be a good software too. Korean simulator software has really good quality in terms of gameplay, courses as well as ball engine. But price seems a bit steep to me.
