is there anyway to tell if a CG2 unit is used or not. I’m purchasing one that is new, but invoice says used. I’ve been assured it’s new?

Where did you purchase it through? Any reputable dealer would only sell brand new units or disclose if it is certified pre-owned. The higher the serial number the newer it is. -

I believe there was a flash counter in earlier firmware revisions. That doesn’t exactly tell you the age though, I think it can be reset.
Why don’t you just ask Foresight if it was refurbished by giving them the serial. If they refurbished it, they should have the info. I’m sure they’d want to know if a reseller was selling refurbs as new.Comment

Sounds odd. Ask for new invoice and register it with foresight. If it’s new you need/will want to register it with foresight so you can get support from them if you need it. If you buy used, you need to pay $500 to transfer it to your name.Comment
