I just finished recording the flythroughs on the new course bundle. They are nice parkland courses and are well done. If you are looking to expand your course list this is a nice bundle and at a reasonable price. I haven't played them yet so I can't speak to how they play. I will get them posted as soon as I can but I doubt it will be before the offer expires.
These type of offers never make it to any other market other than the USA. I have asked Foresight why that is when they see themselves as a global concern, I have not received an answer.
Many other manufacturers when operating in a truly global marketplace are able to achieve parity across markets regarding offers and pricing. Foresight are oblivious to this practice.
I appreciate your posts and heads up to the community , but as a European there is no such thing as a reasonable price when you are dealing with Foresight Sports. That particular offer does not exist in the UK and it is not possible to buy anything online, you have to contact your Foresight Rep to arrange your own personal fleecing.
It would be wonderful if Foresight were able to work in a joined up fashion and issue offers to all markets simultaneously at similar price points. Can't see it happening though.....
You cannot buy from Foresight Sports online if you are based in Europe. The US market online offer states USA only . In Europe you have to call your local rep to buy anything. This is because Foresight Europe have to buy from Foresight US at whatever price they are able to negotiate and then resell to their own local market. Foresight Europe goal is to maximise their profit and will gouge you mercilessly. Foresight Europe never offer any deals like are regularly featured online in the US , this is because as an organisation they have no global parity sales policies like other electronics manufacturers are easily able to implement.
An example of the gouging that Foresight Europe are capable of would be something I experienced earlier this year. After dropping close to 12k UK pounds with them and having an absolutely dire sales experience with them , they then had the arrogance to email me to say that I could have the manuals and copies of my very expensive crap software sent to me on a USB stick as a back up for the sum of £8.95 plus vat plus postage and that I should note that they would not send the stick until payment had been received and cleared.
Considering I had just spent $15,000 with them and had an utterly abysmal buying experience I contacted my local rep to suggest that as a goodwill gesture maybe they should just send me the USB stick and that when spending that kind of money they should be providing the USB stick as standard.
Yeah, Wow. That is just not cool. So, is Foresight Europe a private company outside of Foresight? Foresight Sports is a rather small business so them not having an international presences isn't that surprising. I doubt they have the resources internally to deal with all the international BS which is likely how Foresight Europe came about. As for being able to buy software over the Internet I don't really see why location would matter.
Not sure what status Foresight Europe has outside of Foresight USA , I would guess that they are licensed distributors as that is how many small industries achieve international platforms for sales in different markets. I agree that buying software should have no international location issue, however Foresight don't think that way , the offers that regularly occur in the USA and that are available online in the US never appear in other international markets and it is not possible to buy software online in US for use in Europe or in other areas.
It looks to me like Foresight USA sell stuff to other nations distributors and leave them to decide pricing and offers available etc to other countries.
I have commented in other threads that I believe Foresight parent organisation have no joined up ability as an international organisation operating in global markets and stand by that observation based on my discussions with my local rep and my personal experiences in dealing with the European Foresight Group which is probably why there is never a truly International offer or pricing parity across all markets .
I can also add that there are employment forums in Europe where there are ex Foresight employees commenting on their experiences while working for Foresight and unfortunately none of it is positive.
I have stated my personal experiences in dealing with Foresight Sports Europe which were woe-full, I previously had Skytrak and every aspect of working with those guys was faultless, dealing with Foresight on the other hand was the polar opposite.
Oddly ,when I look at my GC2 in my sim room I don't have that feel good factor that I had when I was using my V1 build with Skytrak even though the GC2 hardware is a bit better, I put it down to my belief that the product regardless how good will ultimately be measured by the conduct and ethics of the company involved.
