  • Bluetooth GSX frustration

I want to just play but sometimes I fire up my pc and it just won't connect. It says paired but won't connect. When it acts up the only way I can get it to connect is to unpair the gc2, turn the gc2 off, turn it back on search for the device while the gc2 is loading up 0000 and reconnect. If I unpair and search without turning the gc2 off trying to reconnect while it's on the it says we didn't get any response from the device try again. It still will never connect unless I turn the gc2 off and reconnect while it is loading up.

Is there anything I can try that may help?

Hitting balls then hitting the slider never works for me. Rebooting pc generally doesn't work

    Using
Windows 10, Asusbt400 dongle, dongle 4-5ft away from gc2, BT autoconnect, energy saving off on usb connections, i'm using usb 3.0 with 3.0 extension

My order on the start up is
    1. Pc
    2. Protee interface
    3. GSX
    4. GC2
    5. Slider on gsx

    Open to any recommendations

Sometimes I easily waste 30-40 minutes fiddling with it.

If I try to unpair and reconnect I get this. So I have to turn gc2 off and connect while it's powering up. Oh brother

Seriously as I mentioned to you privately I will put in the public.

I would recommend virtual box and install windows 7

I have been all the same issues as Wizard and I’m willing to try anything to get this fixed. I just downloaded virtual box and Windows 7 from your link and added the USB from his other video.

Any good next steps to make everything work now through virtual box? Thanks!

So triple your using windows 7? You don't ever have to delete bt connection to gc2 and start over? What happens to my windows 10 replaced by 7?

Im not sure I can handle, understand virtual box or even make an educated guess about appropriation of ram for something like this. I have a feeling I could really mess things up here.

          Windows 10 should just work!!!!

You could down rev the entire box to windows 7. Windows 10 isn’t that special anyways.

i don’t have any issues. Once in a while after an update I need to repair the bt. Other than that I’m playing within 5 minutes

I just leave my PC on. If I shut it down, I’m likely 50/50 as to whether my BT / GSX will connect without messing around with it.

While I agree Windows 10 isn't all that special, the problem for many will be that Windows 7 doesn't support and wont work with the last few generations of CPU's (7th or 8th gen Intel i-series or AMD Ryzen).

Thanks for all the help and the ideas. I think I finally have my answer. My frustration doesn't stem from order of operations or windows 10. It's more dongle position not necessarily interference but distance. It's 6.5 ft from my GC2 and although I never have a dropped signal once connected that distance is at the edge of it being able to connect hence hit or miss on connecting. If I pick the gc2 up off the floor it connects every time at a distance of less than 6ft then I can put it back on the floor and it stays connected. Asusbt400 good for less than 6ft. I think I will order a couple more dongles and see if I can get one with a foot more range.
Ordered techkey and H.guard dongles to try.

                    Thanks again

No issues with Windows 10 for me either. You may want to try moving your dongle away from your projector a bit, as your projector could be putting out some RF interference.
