Pebble/premium courses vs standard courses

FSX 2018 users... who has the Pebble, SGH / Links? I’m interested to know what your thoughts are in regards to the quality of the premium courses compared to their standard courses.

I know they are charging more to license the course names, etc, but curious as to quality of graphics and detail vs the other courses.

I’m just debating on picking up the pebble promo courses, if they actually look better and are nicely done vs the standard courses. It’s still ridiculous what they cost even after the discount.

i have to admit to being a little underwhelmed: I prefer to practise with all the data in FSX rather than play courses etc in TGC and other sims.
however, I wouldn’t go out of your way to get these premiums.
i would save that money and go for TGC or other option. You will have all the courses you could possibly play with better graphics etc, and you will still be able to practise however you want on FSX.

Much appreciated. I was considering getting in on the deal, but I didn’t as I figured I had enough courses for now. Glad I didn’t go through with it.

Do you feel like the graphics are any better than the standard courses?

I ordered the 3 Pebble Beach courses for $500 on Saturday - and the licence activated today.
Didn’t have time to actually play any, but I loaded up Pebble Beach and did a couple of flyovers through the first few holes.

Personally, I’d say they do look a bit better than the standard ones. I have TGC2019, and the graphics are nothing like that... but are definitely better finished than the other FSX2018 courses. Small details like buildings, trees etc have a more realistic look about them.

I prefer playing FSX2018 over TGC as I feel the physics are better and more realistic. I also have an HMT and swing camera, so FSX gives me more info.
Courses are silly money, and I must’ve invested a small fortune into Foresight to own about 35 courses. I tend to buy them 4 or 5 at a time, and usually get a good deal from my rep.

If I’ve got friends round who’ve never seen my sim, I let them play TGC for the visuals. If I’m playing with regulars, or on my own - we play FSX2018.

Playing IRL tomorrow... but looking forward to getting a round of Pebble Beach soon... after watching the US Open all weekend!!

I agree, better than standard courses and worth the outlay if you gave a hmt.
I hope Foresight sort out buying the courses as it should be instant, waiting a few days to get the course added to your account is 10-15 years out of date, Foresight sort this issue out please, courses should be added to the account as soon as you buy.
