Just got Gc2, want to start playing TGC Simulator

Hi,

Just received my GC2. My goal is to be able to play the TGC with my launch monitor.

I'm a little confused about the software which I need to purchase.

Do I first purchase ProTee 2.0, and then find the forum entries for installing TGC?

When I buy ProTee 2.0, do I then ask support for the GSX software?

Is there an evaluation version of the software I can try to make sure it works on my computer/gc2 ?

It's all one package that you get through Protee. Contact them for an exact quote or for an evaluation version. (I dont know if they do eval with TGC)

I'll definitely try and get an evaluation version once I get my net and projector set up. I have an evaluation version of Foresight software to try out too.

One you have purchased the protee and are a member of the online league you will be able to download the GSX you need from this website.

Im a bit confused. I thought GSX was the interface that linked the GC2 to ProTee?
Do I not NEED it to use ProTee with my GC2 if I'm not playing online?

Correct, it needs to be used to connect the gc2 to protee. You can download it under the Foresight Sports thread in the forum. But you need the protee interface also. Have fun. You should join us online though. A lot of fun.

If I need GSX to make ProTee work, and I can only get it from here when I have a ProTee licence... how do I get a trial version to work? It's unlikely I'm going to have my setup ready for another few weeks, but I'm trying to get my head around it.

ProTee seems to be much higher regarded on here than the Foresight equivalent, plus ProTee offers much better value for money - however it would still be nice to test them both out to make my own mind up!

You can go ahead and download the GSX right now, but it won't connect to the Protee Interface until you have some sort of license I believe. If it does, Protee won't run without a trial license anyway.

I thought I needed a ProTee licence to enable me to access the GSX download?
I'm likely to go with ProTee anyway given everyone's positive comments etc - but I'd still like to try before I buy!!

I'm sure you could find a way to download GSX before getting a license, but what's the point. You are kinda running in circles. Here are the main points:

-You need a license of some kind to use Protee golf software (not to be confused with TGC)
-TGC doesn't yet offer a trial license, though you can contact swingsense to make sure
-GSX is useless by itself, all it does is connect your GC2 to either Protee Golf or TGC
-Contact swingsense for exact details.

I have a Foresight trial. Simple - it should work without any additions.
I realise TGC doesn't have a trial, but someone previosly mentioned ProTee do. I have TGC on my PC which I've played a few rounds with using mu mouse. I realise it's not the same as the simulation version, but I get an idea of how it works.

The whole reason behind my question was I previously asked (in another thread) how I get GSX. I was advised I can only download this once I have a ProTee licence.
If GSX is a requirement to link a GC2 to ProTee, then how can I test the trial?!
I don't know if a 'trial' licence will allow me to download GSX?

The real question I suppose is 'do I just have to bite the bullet and pay $2000 for ProTee to test it out?'
I've already spent a fortune on a GC2, decent spec PC, projector, projection net / curtains, hitting mat etc, so I'm going to have to buy some form of software. It would have been nice to be able to make a clear decision after I've tried both Foresight and ProTee out.
