    GC2 protection?

I ordered this on ebay, but i don't see it holding up well to anything seeing it in person. Searching for metal protection i can't seem to find anything? Have people stopped making them now that the device is older and the quad has been released?

I've got the aluminum shank tank and believe it contributes to missed shots personally. This one at least allows you to pull the screen up for better viewing. I've contemplated it myself. The metal one works decent for righty, but seems a little off for a lefty

I have one. It works. It seems flimsy, but would protect it. I’m selling it with my second GC2.

I asked foresight specifically when I bought mine, and was told they no longer make the aluminium one.

The official plastic version apparently offers "better protection anyway". Their words, not mine - I couldn't be bothered arguing with them, and they threw it in for free anyway in the end...

At $200 it is a total burn, but you'd only buy it once...

Stop worrying. Any shot you hit the GC2 with is obviously not a solid hit thus the ball speed is very low compared to a decent shot.

Is the plastic protection kit similar to the plastic of the GCQ? I have heard that those have taken some pretty good direct "miss" hits with no issues?

I previously owned the one that you found on Ebay. It was decent, but I personally found it difficult to keep at the proper angles and the way that it was assembled made the whole thing a little shaky. It did save my GC2 on a direct hit from a shanked drive from my brother-in-law that broke off the tabs on the case, but saved my GC2. I replaced it with the plastic case from Foresight and I've been very happy with that. I was concerned about the amount of protection from the plastic, but it is pretty sturdy and gives me enough confidence to let all of my hack friends play.
