I totally agree I am super disappointed in the update but still appreciate how realistic and good my quad works. That being said I have a question?
1. Can you use Tgc 2019 with a quad? If not is that planned for the future or only E6?

I found another issue that I hadn't noticed before since installing FSX2020, just wondering if anyone else has found the same issue...
Club head data reported on my Quad differs significantly from the shot data that comes up on the screen after hitting a shot.
The club head speed, carry and total differs between the two. I wondered if the yardage differences maybe came from the Quad reporting values based on the barometer (which is how I had it set) vs sea level being reported by default in the software? Not sure what would cause the club head speed differences.

Has anyone else noticed this?

The quad will give real data. What you see in FSX depends on the course, taking into account elevation and conditions, etc. Also, Quad does not give total, it only gives carry.

I definitely agree, but in this case I was teeing off on a flat fairway. Not sure why the clubhead speed would vary? I'll go back and hit a few more, could be my error.

Clubhead speed should not vary by much, I don't think. FSX does usually round up. Go to the range and click the box for "use gcquad barometer" and see if it's the same.

Installed 7.1.0.5 last night, no issues now. I'm just going to forget this ever happened. I'm going to assume it was some type of user error.

Version 7.1.0.5 just released that has fix to auto putt score among other things. Same link as the last post. Havent tried it yet.

The scoring problem was not auto-putt. It was giving a net score on the scorecard, rather than a gross score. If you set your handicap to zero, the scorecard would be correct.

Still, a basic error that had to be fixed. Good that they have done so.

No, that was not at all the problem. Before a 1.3 auto putt for instance on a par 4 where you hit the green in 2 would show in the running total as -2. It is actually -.7. It would not include putts ion 2020. Even they admitted that. Please do not tell me I am wrong on my own experience as I have messed with it a lot. Handicap had NOTHING to do with it. Have a great day though.

Sorry, meant to say the scoring problem was not ONLY auto-putt. I have never used auto-putt. I guess you are right on that.

I can assure you that the handicap/net scoring problem was/is a problem (which I hope has now been fixed).

7.1.0.5 was just relased today on 4/14. Downloading now. Says it is 2GB.. Be curious to see what was updated and fixed.

I downloaded earlier and played with it for a little bit. Didn't seem much different but I didn't get a chance to look into it too much.

When playing gimme putt in a range it seemed to score accurately which is good. When I switched after 2 holes from game back to practice mode, it crashed. Going to play 18 with the wife to see how it goes.

Unfortunately no. This is one of the most frustrating software experiences I've encountered.

1998 called, they want their update installation files back. Ugh!

I have never had an issue with their customer service. They always respond quickly and effectively to me.

Not only do I have 40 courses that I have to update each and every one INDIVIDUALLY, but I get 700 error messages with each and every install. Then after all of that the only difference I can see is in the course is they changed the font for the course name! It's absolutely insane!!!
* On this topic... If you have not yet read post # 50 (page 4) in this thread... NO ONE has said it any better when it comes to the clown show at Foresight!

Just installed 7.1.0.5, and Kingsbarns 3.0. Kingsbarns looks great.

Question: when you click on the Foresight logo, top-center of the home screen, does it still say Version 7.0.0? Mine does, even though I did download and set up 7.1.0.5, and it's in the correct folder. Makes me wonder whether there was an issue with the install, even though it seemed to go fine. But since I don't know what has changed in the new version, I can't really verify. Thoughts?

shellman19 thanks for the heads up on list of version 3 courses. Ordered Carnoustie and Royal Lytham & St. Annes this morning and Foresight sent me the version 2 download links. Was able to use your links and get version 3.
