delaloi So I called Foresight and shockingly they did not update the update to read the correct version # when you click on the Foresight Logo. However, if you go to Control Panel and then Add/Remove Programs you will see that the update did take and it is now 7.1.0.5.

In unfortunate other news, that means that the scoring is still not fixed. If you have a handicap above zero when you login, you are going to get a net score rather than a gross score on the scorecard. This is not fixed in 7.1.0.5. I played Kingsbarns 3.0 today.

My last two rounds I manually tweaked the handicap to zero before I started the round, and it scored correctly. Today (first round on 7.1.0.5) I didn't do that. First hole, par 4. I make 4. Standing on the second tee I am -1 . Another par. Standing on the third tee I'm -2. This is the issue -- it gives a net score on the scorecard. This cannot be what is intended because at the end of the round the scorecard shows Gross-Handicap-Net. Today, after a (kind of ugly) 84, off 13, the final scorecard says 71-13-71.

Do you mean with auto putt? I’m not getting scoring issues using gimmes, but I’ve set my HC to scratch.

I think if you set HC it’s kind of logical that they display a nett score, otherwise why put a HC in at all? Really they should display both gross and nett.

I have never used auto-putt, although there apparently was a scoring problem with that too. This problem is with handicaps.

If you set your handicap at zero then the issue won't arise. But it's not logical. When you golf, your scorecard shows how many strokes you took on the hole. You don't write down a net score when you are walking off the green. But on FSX now, if I make a 4 on a hole where I get a stroke according to my handicap, the scorecard just shows 3.

Indeed at the end it displays what should be your gross score, handicap, and net score. Now the gross and net numbers are the same. Which is correct if you are a scratch h/c, but not otherwise.

Not really.
FSX costs the same as a decent second hand car.
We're not lucky if it has basic flaws.
If the software was free as part of a hardware unit, OK. But it is far from it.

Foresight software team are not the best ., Re FSX 2108 they have yet to release an update that does not break some other part of the program, their testing is hopeless, they rely on people who have paid large sums of money for their defective software to inform them of their latest errors.

Spyglass is the main one I want updated, it’s already quite good in FSX2020 using Reshade with the old course

Just played pitch n putt. Looks great and so do the other coursed I've played thus far. IMO, the graphics upgrade is legit.

How can one tell if they have the upgraded version or not? I have two versions of one course so it was easy to know that the upgrade went through. However, others don’t have two versions available in the selection menu when I’m about to play.

If you go here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Foresight Sports Experience\Courses

You will see. Any course that is less than version 3 is not updated. You can just delete it if you have two of the same.

Carnoustie and Royal Birkdale are updated to 3.0.1 now. I did not notice any bugs with the 3.0.0 version. Anyone know what's up with these?

It seems that v3 of almost all the courses now use a different/cursive font inside the game for the course name. But, I have noticed that Oakmont still has the old v2 font. The course install location shows that v3.0.0 is installed, but it is hard to tell if it was actually upgraded. Are others noticing this with Oakmont?

Since fsx2020, cant seem to keep a player logged in either. each time i put in password it crashes or click Keep Logged In it crashes. Its annoying.! Any work a rounds. All the fsx live data doesn't reflect the actual round either.

I have to say I'm very impressed with the courses now that they have been upgraded. Turn on the internet weather! I did and to see every tree gently blowing the wind makes the image 1000x than no wind.

Agreed. You could always manually set the wind, but I must admit I never used it until FSX2020

How much wind are we talking? Like the “use real time weather” or setting it? It didn’t seem to work when I tried to set real time weather. And also mine doesn’t stay logged in either.

I set it to about 3-5mph, just to get the trees moving

Just to add to the challenge I always set wind at 10mph, which has a very substantial effect on the ball (I think more like 15-20mph in life). Good to get the trees shaking too. Just include it in the Default settings.
