I had planned on just using the Creative Golf Demo for a few weeks till I can save up a little bit before looking into buying software. Problem is I have window 8.1 and the driver for the GC2 only works for Windows 8 and below. I would just use the Bluetooth but apparently that doesn't work for the demo. Any idea's on what I could do to get this thing running? Also what is my cheapest option just so I can hit some balls? Any other demo's out there for the GC2?

I had exactly the same issue last week!
Go here and download this driver: http://www.foresightsports.com/en/su...vers-downloads
It will work on Windows 8.1.

Not sure it is really worth the time for the download for the demo. They restrict you to 3 shots in the window breaking game so unless you want to mulligan after every shot it gets old quick.
The others you can play only 3 holes on each course however they don't use back spin for the greens. The mini golf was the only thing the kids may like but you might be able to make a chip and putt in TGC with a real greens.
With TGC and when the updates come through for the practice mode, one can make up your own shooting range with animals that fall over when hit.....Mountain Time

If you want to try the demo out, you can download it here: http://www.par2pro.com/shop/product_...roducts_id=245
I set up 8 players and played the 3 hole demo. It let me take 8 drives in a row, then 8 second shots etc...
Got boring pretty quickly though!

So after a long day and $60 later for Windows 7 my brand new laptop still won't reconize the GC2. I decided to bring it in and the devs at the comp shop were out of ideas on how to connect it. They think it's because of something to do with the computer being new and it using some other audio drivers that conflict with the foresight drivers. I had planned on buying a desktop for my build anyways but I just want to hit a few shots! I'm just not ready to throw down another $2000 for software, these prices just don't seem fair and not something I would be proud to tell my buddies I paid. How much did I pay for TGC on Xbox One? Oh ya, under $30

Unfortunately $2000 for golf simulator software seems to be the price. Foresight is about $2000 with 1 course. Protee is $2000 with over 100 courses, and then you can get TGC for FREE with over 30000 courses. You're paying nothing for TGC!
I assume you knew the price of the software when you bought the GC2.
You can always pay around $50 and get the Foresight iPad app. I used it for a wee while before buying ProTee. It gives you a good indication of where your ball actually went, rather than just reading the numbers off the GC2.

I suggest you go buy the Foresight software.Originally posted by DGThread View PostSo after a long day and $60 later for Windows 7 my brand new laptop still won't reconize the GC2. I think it was more that if you think $2000 is a lot for all the Protee Red Chain courses (over 100) plus TGC, then compare that to Foresight with 1 range and 1 course for over $2100 and that's it. Then the next 5 to 10 courses are over another $1000 and so on.

I would guess your a little confused on witch way to go for software right about now everyone keeps suggesting ProTee (those rascals)? Just go for the Ipad app it was a lot cheaper then your $60 SW purchase, then you can play around a little until you get up to speed on what you would like to do for simulation. What did you pay for your CG2? The sim SW is not going to be cheap, but one package out shines the other that is for sure. Do you have a CG2 or CG2A ?Originally posted by DGThread View Post
Your suggesting I buy foresight over protee?
