I have had my GC Quad and FSX 2018 and now 2020 for just over a year. I am very happy with the quad. After borrowing a TM4 for one winter I would say that I enjoy the quad and trust the quad more for indoors compared to the TM4. I do miss the trackman combine. I’m even relatively satisfied with FSX software as I don’t place a premium on online play. My club has e6 on their sims so I have had experience with other software.
The one thing about FSX software that has frustrated me is the strange way the ball interacts with the cup. Is anyone else noticing this? It makes a strange clunk when it hits the back of the cup or the side. It doesn’t lip out properly and sometimes bounces the opposite way. Firm putts do not go in. Even putts that look to be the perfect speed will often hit the back of the cup and rest on the back lip. I’ve even had one putt hit the back of the cup and bounce back towards me and rest on the front lip of the cup. When does that ever happen in real life? I’ve brought it up with support a couple of times and they seemed to listen but today the support person denied ever hearing about anything like that and won’t open a ticket until we verify my version of software and courses. I’ve experienced this issue through 2018 and 2020 with all the updates. Anyone else notice these type of problems? If so please call foresight and let them know.
