Thank you for the correction! I appreciate that!

So, if you bought an E6 license for $2500, you'd have to fork out $500 if you wanted to switch your input device?!? I'll redirect my 'wave' at E6 then. I'm glad they don't charge extra for playing on different computers, projectors or monitors. FFS. You'd think that if EA (Electronic Arts) wanted to get into the golf simulator business, they'd be able to easily do it by moving their input from a game controller to a box that spits out a set of initial launch numbers...maybe you could program that system to adjust ball flight by responding to a player yelling "BITE!/RELEASE!" or "Get UP/DOWN!" or "Get LEFT/RIGHT!!!"

I noticed E6 Connect has a new version on their website. (v1.5.1.1) Are Foresight users supposed / allowed to upgrade from the e6 connect website or will it mess things up without an updated Foresight launcher app? (My current E6 version is 1.4.6)

It'll break it. You can email foresight for the new launcher which is in Beta as of yesterday.

Edit: It looks like it didn't break for you? It broke for me and I got the new launcher to fix it.

Yes, I was on a previous support call with Foresight about a month ago and they gave me the new launcher at that time. (They still have some bugs to work out before they release it to the public, but it does explain why the new release didn't break everything.)

Just download the upgrade and install. Works like a charm. Just did the upgrade Friday and had no issues.

Awesome, thanks. I will install today. Did it fix the uphill putting issues?

Folks, now that you have played with the E6 for a while, would you do it again, knowing that there will be (rumor in any case) an upgrade to FSX this year?

I really enjoy having E6, FSX and TGC 2019 and find that I play TGC 2019 the least. When it is just me hitting golf balls, I tend to play FSX. When I have a group over and we play scrambles or match play, then we tend to play E6. The group prefers E6 over FSX, as we tend to play team scrambles and scramble mode in FSX is jacked up with the weird "fairway gimme" issue. I like the course options in E6 and I like the graphics.

Now, they just need to fix the darn putting issue and I'll be 100% happy with the purchase. For now, we have to set putting to "Computer Decides" as uphill putts hit a wall and roll backwards. I looked on the recent E6 upgrade list and they might have been fixed this issue in their mid-Dec release -- "Major Fix: Rolling friction was adjusted to fixed putts that weren't rolling the correct distance..."

Just performed the upgrade. The putting issue has not been fixed. Total bummer.

I'm not sure if anyone else plays online, but I finally have given up now that 1.5.0 is still broken. You can't see each other's shots, the data, or the correct outcome, if you play with someone online. I bought e6 for the sole purpose of playing with my brother who is on SkyTrak.

You can see a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvuFP6PhPRk

In the video, the first drive is 70 yards different between between the two client applications. The wedge into the green spins back to 18' in one video and kicks forward to 5' in the other. Even our scorecards are way wrong. It's like the game just guesses at what the other person is doing.

I had a long support ticket thread for about 5 weeks with e6 and it finally ended with them telling me there is no plan to fix the issue and they're sorry. I've asked Foresight for a refund.

This is really disappointing to hear. One of the major reasons we would add E6 to FSX2020 would be to play online with friends who have an E6 based sim. If this is not possible (and not likely to be fixed) then we will hold off.

            Appreciate the input.

There's an e6 discord group and they said they stream each other's screens (I think over youtube live) to play competitively online. It's really too bad the online game is so broken.
          Working...
