Why does Links 2003 look better than fsx?

I just setup fsx2020 and the range is great for data, etc. I’m just a bit underwhelmed with theses graphics for 2019. Does anyone remember the old links series for dos or windows. Links 2003 just had better graphics in my opinion. Maybe it’s nostalgia but I just went on YouTube to look at some video gameplay of Links 2003 of Augusta and it looked fantastic. Remember the days of playing as Arnie at Latrobe... good times

The graphics are hugely underwhelming but should be better than LS. Are your settings turned up?

I just hooked up my 4k tv and played pebble beach. It’s ok, not much better than 1080p. It’s not bad but not jaw dropping either. Guess I prefer tgc graphics or the old perfect golf visuals..

Well it could be my mistake because I haven’t gone into any settings. Does it have similar Video setting adjustments like fr1?
I have an i7 and gtx980ti card, a little older but still strong compared to newer cards
    cheers

I'd be curious to learn more about what settings I could change in order to enhance graphics a bit. Thanks.

Post an image from your FSX2020 software that is underwhelming. Curious how it looks for you.

FSX2020 is the worst looking software by far out of the available software.

Pretty common ranking is TGC > E6connect >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> FSX

          Directly from their site.

They overlayed "BIG. BOLD. BEAUTIFUL." on this image.

Have you ever actually played FSX or seen a video? It is terrible looking. This is a very common opinion as well...

Wow, 2003 Links looks like a major upgrade to compared to FSX. Would love to have Augusta on FSX, that would be awesome. I think TCG 2019 is just ok in my opinion, minor step up from FSX 2020. I hate the first bounce in TGC, kills it for me.

E6 Connect looks much better than TCG 2019 and FSX, at a $2500 premium though. I am really hoping the next version of FSX is actually a “Game Changer”. They need to dump the tired redchain engine and develop something that is cutting edge for the price they charge.

There is about to be a graphics card revolution in the coming months and what was only dreamed of will soon be reality. So maybe by 2022 FSX will have something compelling.
