I believe new vs old ribbon is the shot data that shows on the screen while practicing. I like the old one and have that enabled. Auto periscope is where it goes up for a view from above before your shot. You can also do this by hitting the up arrow. Ball and club data on main screen after shot by selecting that on the dual screen page and then also on the screen data page. don't have anything open, so may have gotten some names off...

Im still trying to figure out how to show ball and club data in a round like on the range where it has the overlay on the side and the mini map on the opposite side..

Ya I looked for that myself and don't think its possible. They need to add a lot more options for people with dual monitor setups. Be nice to move stuff around anywhere we want. So limited now.

And also options for a 3rd monitor. I use a small (ish) monitor for the Computer and the projector but I would add a larger LCD screen on the wall if I could have it supported for club and other data.........

Somehow I had ball and club data during a “practice round”, but I couldn’t get it to show up on a play game round?
Fsx is getting better just wish we had more communication with whoever is the developer and who makes the actual courses..

I have my projected screen mirrored with my main screen and that's the best setup I could come up with. Agree...would be so much better if you could just pick and choose everything for every screen equally.

Guys - does anyone know how to customize the ribbon for the items I prefer? example, I like the putting grid option on the ribbon vs. the drop down? I had all of this set and had to do a uninstall and install and all of my preferences were lost. The manual provided or online really does not go into detail. I would really like to see data during a round saved per player so you could see that in the stats too.

You can customize which shortcut items are on the ribbon. If you're looking for grid specifically, you can just hit G on your keyboard, and then Alt+G to get balls moving on the grid as well.

Thanks Stre - didn't do anything so I just went thru a total system restore. Foresight had my un-install and everything changed so I figure go back to when it worked well.

Ok guys, totally baffled with this. Maybe I am totally missing something, but in the practice mode I used to have the range number in a black box that had two columns on the side which gave me all my numbers. Now I have a much larger box(which I can put in upper left or right of screen) but with this box everything is smaller and harder to read. Any idea how I get the other back? Very frustrated with this.

Go into settings and it's either Auto Periscope or enable shot ribbon. One of those two.

Thanks for the help Intrinsic. What I learned the problem was that the other day when I updated my internet and router with Comcast, it put a protected security feature which my CG2 could not authenticate my serial number with the FSX server as Comcast blocked the signal coming back.

I turned off the security feature on the router, and was able to get my authorization to the server.

My concern was then I could not play should my internet ever be down. I thought the smart thing to do was enable an option that it did not need to phone home. I logged in to performance.foresight when I chose the option on Offline play. This way I did not need to validate each time. With this option I lost the new ribbon option.

I reverted back to Offline play to Off and guess what shows up, the new ribbon. Some things are a little odd in decisions over there.
