  • Preferred Method of aiming.

Just curious what everyones preferred method of aiming is. For example when putting I never change my aim on the screen just aim with my body like I'm actually outside and that works very good. Although when hitting full shots I always aim my screen where I want rather than aiming to the right or left of my screen.

I put a piece of duck tape on the mat with a line on it. Then I use a cheap lazer to line it up to the net. I hit to the same spot on every shoot, I'll just move the courser on the cpu to aim.

I move my body as well, saves time and seems to work just fine. Has anyone tried to use voice with FSX2020? I have friends using it with TGC2019 and they love it. they will say 4 clicks to the right and the aiming stick moves to the right. Curious if FSX users have had similar results?

For putting and chipping, I aim left or right with my body and do not adjust the aim with the computer. I do the same for full swing shots, unless there is high wind and I really need to play it out pretty far left or right, then I will adjust my aim on the computer.

I used to aim with the pc for everything and hit a stock shot to read the data but it got to be a hassle. Now I just aim my body unless it’s a shot to get out of jail..

One advantage to having a big screen for sure...and using body aiming keeps me from worrying about the data on every shot. I also have fsx2020 cam on fixed so it looks like the ball flight outside..

Ya aiming with my body I find the putting to be very accurate and make a lot of puts.

Same, aiming with body for puts and chips. Most iron shots or above though I generally aim using FSX. This is very simple for me though as I use a touch screen as my other monitor so it is just a tap or a mouse click. Had not heard of the voice commends - may need to give that a crack.

Just curious but I also use a touch screen. When I click with the left mouse on the mini map it aims there. If I touch the mini map on my touchscreen where I would like to aim it just shows me the white lines with distance info and doesn't change my aim there. Is that how yours is?

correct, they mini map gives you the line and distance but I do as well need to go back to the main screen and touch the screen to move my aiming point. Found that odd but not a huge issue.
