    FSX Pro is great!

After usually underperforming in meeting expectations, Foresight now clearly added some real value and for free! I have a GC2 + HMT and downloaded the FSX Pro this morning. Truly impressed. For somebody that uses the range 90% of the time, this is so much more user friendly and versatile! Thank you Foresight.

    A nice overview here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqglZJc_PPc

Completely agree. I like it so much, I just purchased the club data addon for my GCQ.

I haven’t downloaded it yet but it looks similar to trackman as far as the range. Do you see yourself just using this for range practice vs the range on fsx2020?

I have started using the FSX Range for warmups (pre-round) but for practice heading straight for FSX Pro. They are separate programs so it is just easier to use the FSX range when I am playing.

Yes, I think it is so much more user friendly. Finally, you can determine which data are important to you and how you want to show those on the screen. Graphics are more clear as well.

I am not a fan of hitting into an open field. Sure, it is fine for testing clubs but I wouldn't practice with FSX Pro as I prefer a target when using irons and narrowing fairways for driver/3w so I practice on course holes. I would miss being able to adjust my distances, hitting into raise greens etc. I also did not see where I could adjust weather conditions (but maybe I missed it). My verdict at the moment is club fitting yes, practice no.

rdanh - I am with you so far. I always changed distances in FSX2020 - depending on the club. This is problem for me - just hitting into a wide-open range seems like a good start ... but advance the software!

                • This is a first release. I can see them combining the equivalent of fsx2020 custom build challenges for performance testing as well as historic data and camera support. Would love to see an environmental optimiser ( flightscope)and shot optimiser (trackman).

I used it last night, liked the data and reports. I was signed into my fsx account, but none of the session ever showed up in my fsx online stats when I checked this morning. Is it supposed to?

As a first iteration I think FS have done well. Plenty of improvement opportunity with the range, swing cam integration, greens for targets, display optionality eg club data on the projector. But a really good first start.

I agree, it's quite nice, much more flexible and easy to use for feedback for practice, and much easier to create reports and comparison analysis. It would be great to create a combine in the Pro app. It would also be great to use the iPad camera to capture swings.

Wish they would finally get Bluetooth connectivity to work for GC2…

One year later: has anyone gotten any new information about bluetooth being added?

                        [edit] nevermind
