  • GCQuad left LED flashing

I found my GCQuad today off with the left LED rapidly flashing RED. It is less than a week old and had worked fine a couple of hours previously.

It does this when just on battery power or just on AC power with or without the battery installed. It never powers up, it just starts flashing as soon as the power of the plug or the battery is attached.

The display on the Quad never powers up or shows anything.

Any ideas what the issue is or how to resolve?

No idea, but if it were a week old, I'd be calling FS and ask them!

I mean it flashes quickly when there's a ball there but out of the hitting zone, so maybe try putting a ball there and maybe your screen is bad or got disconnected inside and also see if it connects to the computer.

Like maybe it's working fine but no display...

Sorry, I've never seen that, I'd be on the horn to Foresight.

Maybe try taking battery out for a minute and putting it in again? Just a thought.

I left it unplugged with the battery out over night. The next morning, when I powered it up the left led light began flashing red about 10x/sec where it had been about 3x/sec the previous day. Foresight is having me send in the unit for repairs. After waiting about 8 weeks to get it, I did get to use it for 3.5 days which was nice.

that really sucks. hopefully it'll be quick and you'll never have another problem. I've had mine for years and not a single prob, so hope the same for you after this one.

I hope this gets resolved quickly. I have had mine for about 1 week now too. So far so good. Hopefully it stays that way.

dwomble - that totally sucks. I'm starting to think you have a "golf curse" since you had the bad experience with Full Swing Golf too. I got my Quad about 6 months ago and have had zero issues thus far. (I love it.) ---knock on wood. I hope it works out for you.

Update: Foresight support has been great. They shipped me a loaner GCQuad overnight and I have returned mine for service. No idea what is wrong with it, but was only without a working unit for a couple of days.

The loaner unit wasn’t authorized for club data when I hooked it up, but I emailed support and they had that fixed within a half hour.

It's good to know that their customer service is taking good care of you. My new unit is due to be shipped in about two weeks and I'm hoping that the issue you had is an isolated one!

I just received my GCQuad. It worked great for 30 minutes and I went to register it. It returned an Error Code 098. Thought I was going to have to return it.

Software support called back and was able to get the GCQUAD working

They dialed into my my machine and found that I had a corrupted EPROM file in the firmware. They updated the firmware and replaced the corrupted file.

Software support spent over 2 hours helping me get set and started

            Wonderful support !!

Just had something similar happen to me. I got my Quad less than a week ago as well - worked the last couple days - now it won't power on and the power light is blinking red about once per second.

Unfortunately my Quad was busto. I had to send two back to Foresight for replacement. They were pretty unapologetic, and gave me a couple of courses for my trouble. They're a pretty awful company tbh. They didn't even expedite replacement of the broken units - I waited several weeks for a replacement both times.
