GC2 to new computer

Hi all, we have a GC2 we purchased used, the guy gave us the GC2, a computer (pretty outdated one) with a dongle attached he said was from Foresight, and it came loaded with FS1 software that only has a driving range and one course. We love the setup but just built a new "gaming " spec computer that we want to connect the GC2 to. We also would like suggestions as to the best current sim software avail. that has a variety of courses, we are pretty tired of playing the same course. I called Foresight to see if they could provide any assistance, but the guy just kept telling me we needed to pay $500.00 to "transfer" the GC2 to a new computer. Quite frankly he was quite rude and seemed to be insinuating we were try to somehow screw Foresight over. So can i buy new course software, throw it on the new computer, plug in the GC2 and go? Something seems weird with the whole process.

I would strongly recommend TGC 2019. Great graphics and plenty of courses.
you don’t need to go through foresight for that.

Thanks Alex, so it's just plug the GC2 into the computer, buy TGC 2019 load it and it should work? Or is there any software or firmware i would need to install for GC2 on the new computer.

Once you get that all done the basic steps are

1. start the protee interface
2. connect to GC2 using the GSX
3. start TGC2019 and enjoy
