GC3 users?

Has anyone tried an indoor safe golf ball with a GC3, like an almost golf ball?
I have a gc3 on the way and I'm curious. My wife is just learning to golf and I'm not comfortable with her hitting real balls in my living room yet. Eventually I plan to make a full enclosure but was wondering if there is a decent, indoor ball option for now that won't give absolutely terrible numbers.

Almost Golf balls work on a GC2 so most likely works on a GC3. You do lose some distance, but still playable.

I am sure it will work but since Gc3 is precisely measuring the ball speed, spin, la, ld, etc. and we know the foam ball is going to be drastically different than a real golf ball, I am not quite sure what you would gain here. I tested it with Mevo+ once, I have a video on it. The short shots were ok, in theory I guess, but you could see the data get way off as you picked up speed. The device would probably have to have some type of foam ball setting that then did a calculation to change spin, speed, etc. accordingly and I could not see that being that accurate even if they did develop a really good alg.

I am not quite sure what you would gain here.

it's not about gaining anything, its about protecting the inside of my house from my wife who literally is just starting to golf and never played sport in her life. I don't care if the spin numbers are off or the ball speed, it's just go get her learning to swing and hit a ball

This is what GungHoGolf recommended. They work as stated by a98cr125. They register a shot really well but obviously the ball data like speed and spin are off. I have found these don’t split as quickly as the soft foam ones from Dicks or Golf Galaxy.

I've seen a bunch of different versions of these. I've seen the GoSports one you linked, rukkets version and the almost golf version.

Anyone know if any are better than the other?

Besides the alternate golf balls, even for yourself an enclosure is going to be your best friend. Unless you're pretty tight up to that net, or you have a high net, you're bound to hit some shots off a tee that just... go up. And shanks happen. I spent $100 on two pieces of 10x10 golf net, one for the right side, and one for the top. I'm going to get a third for the left side because the kids have pulled so many shots left already (thankfully into "nothing" in the garage... yet).

Once I make the enclosure and she is a little better, I'll be switching to real balls
