Fsx Play?

I have seen a couple of videos about new FSX Play software being in the works. Has anyone heard anything about when they are expecting to release this? Looks like it would be a nice upgrade to fsx2020.

I am one who got the free upgrade from FSX18 to FSX20, and I got the GCQ putting add-on free also, which was nice. I would guess that if FSX Play is going to generate revenue on a rolling basis (e.g., pay-to-play courses or something), they might give the basic software to FSX2020 owners gratis. If not, I don't think I can reasonably expect to keep getting free software updates forever, if they are major changes and not just tweaks.

If there is a major graphics upgrade and functional online multiplayer, I would gladly pay an upgrade fee. If it's neither of those, I would just keep 2020.

How did you get the putting add on for free?

They are saying a minimum of a 1660ti. That's not very much for a GPU. FSX2020 said a 1050ti, I ran it fine on a 960 before my new parts came in.

FSX 2020 courses will need to be upgraded and installed individually, again, as with the change to 2020. There goes another Saturday afternoon...

On graphics cards, I have a 1070Ti, which it says will work at the minimum level. Will see whether minimum graphics on Play is better than maximum on 2020, which I run fine now.

When will it be released for GC3? And when they update ur purchases courses you get them as well correct ? I was told when I bought my gc3 fsxplay would be a free upgrade an all the courses I owned if they were ever updated then I got them as well don’t seem to be the case now though !!

My NVIDIA is RTX 3050Ti, I chose based on suspected FSX Play requirements.
I would have never known about Play if it wasn’t for this Forum.

Just got an email. Fsx play is gonna be $500 for hawk and quad owners. For quad owners it’s gonna be free but only if you have putting and club data. For hawk users it’ll be free if you have club data and soccer skills challenge add on. Otherwise $500 fee for fsx play.

For Quad owners - putting and club or will it be putting and/or club data? A lot of us have club data (reason we got the Quad) but few have putting data as far as I am aware .......Overall a bit disappointing for sure.

Putting and club data. Agree disappointing as I only have club data. What are you thinking - going to get it? Rep also said starting in 2023 fsx play is the only thing they’re selling for software, and it’s going to cost $3500

Great question - not sure. Will depend a lot on the details and maybe some additional reviews. I really like the idea of it, but with the number of courses I have which may (or may not) be upgraded I may sit on the decision for a bit. Still a bit gutted that folks that bought FSX2020 at full price are not getting more of a break.

As a side note, was your email in response to a question or was it a mass send? I still have not seen anything from FS.

I’m waiting on the details, but I think it will be later this week

Initially it will be one course only, La Jolla Pines, and eventually add more courses

Also, I think there will be some sort of upgrade charge depending on which package you have.

As soon as I hear more, I will let you know.

Just like the bosses don’t give them much information or room to say a lot my rep was good to work with nice dude but u hear something diff from every rep so idk if it’s from management or what !! Frustrating !!
