    GC3 Connection Issues

Is there a specific sequence to successfully get GC3 to show up in the devices list of FSX2020?

I have only been able to get my GC3 to connect a couple of times.
I reboot the launch monitor, the PC… still no luck.

I am using in WiFi mode.
Router is Orbi Mesh and is <20 feet from the monitor.

When I open the “Devices” menu, there are no devices that show up.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Try starting up the GC3 first, once totally ready , then open FSX

      Thanks for the response.
I have tried that with no success.

Going from a GC2 to GC3, I noticed that the connection through USB has taken a lot longer for the computer to see the GC3. Maybe a good 1-2 mins before the device is recognized.

Try switching to direct connecting your GC3 with an ethernet cable to your pc. The wifi doesn't work well at all. Hopefully being fixed in future updates. I've had less problems since switching to ethernet.

USB connection works best for me. I power on the GC3 and once fully booted up I plug in to the PC. Once the PC recognizes the unit (just takes a second) then I fire up FSX2020 or FSXPlay and I'm good to go.

Have you connected the GC3 to your network, the PC to the network and then try to find the GC3 in FSX? Or, can you skip connecting the GC3 & PC to the router, and instead just directly connect the PC to the GC3 wifi? Sometimes adding the layer with the router can mess things up, depending on how your router assigns addresses.

I use USB, so I may not know what I'm talking about here.

I have the exact same issues with my BLP. I have a Netgear Orbi Mesh system and I cannot get wifi to connect to the BLP in my backyard. All of my other wireless devices in my backyard, TV, Laptop, Cell phone have at least 80% wifi signal. Even when I sit the BLP next to my router is still does not even have a full signal.

The other issue I have is it's not recognized by USB consistently. It takes me about 5-10 min of plugging and unplugging the device using different USB ports to get the device to show up in windows. Sometimes I will be playing and the unit will have a B4 error with a red light all of a sudden. Then I have to go through the whole process of resetting plugging unplugging, switching USB ports.

Bushnell support did what every tech support says which is restart it. Just to appease them I went ahead and did a "Hard Reset" by holding down the power button for 20 seconds and bringing it back online, B4 error still continues. Emailed support with updates about 3 or 4 times and they are not responding. I will have to call them again today.

Something is wrong with the unit.
Especially if it will not connect to the home Wi-Fi when sitting next to the router.

I’m going to give you guys some back news. I bought a GCQUAD two years ago and the Wi-Fi connection has never worked. They told there would be a update to would make it easier but that update never came. Ether connection and USB-C work just fine and if your using it for sim experience Wi-Fi would have some latency issues anyway.

For those having issues connect BLP to your home wifi. Are you getting the home wifi to show up on the list when you go into units settings->wifi? BLP/GC3 will get confused if your wifi name has special characters. Also, I've read that BLP/GC3 doesn't work(?) with 5g wifi connections. I haven't tried, I always connect to 2g wifi. (dual band). Good luck.

My wifi name has no special characters and shows up in the list to connect to, it's just an extremely weak signal when I have it in my backyard which is 1 wall away(30ft?). I've tried disabling 5Ghz on my Orbi and I can see that the BLP connection on the 2.4Ghz band but signal and that did not help at all.

Bushnell sent me a shipping label to send it to foresight and they have had it for about 3 weeks now and no word back from them, I've followed up with Bushnell support 3 or 4 times and the only response I got was that they are checking with foresight. Very annoying to spend this much on a device and have all of these issues not to mention I am paying for a subscription and coming up on a month of not being able to use the device or software.

Foresight ended up sending me a new device after a month because parts for the BLP are on backorder according to the tech. The new device has worse problems right out the box. Can't even detect a ball after about 20-30 shots. Once I restart it works again for 20-30 shots and stops detecting the ball again.....no sure how much more I can take of this.

What version is the software? Mine was doing this and they had me roll back the software to the previous version.
