Just wondering what people think that purchased it. I bought one just waiting for it to ship.

GC3 worth the money?

I own a GC2/HMT and was excited when the GC3 came out, but then disappointed to find out that it doesn't give you were the strike is and lie angle. I couldn't justify the upgrade to downgrade. Would have been nice to have all that I had in the GC2/HMT in one package though. I don't take mine to the range because of the hassle of moving the thing around and aligning it correctly.
If you are trying to improve your swing, both will work, but you are missing a couple parameters that might be important.
If you are just going to use it for sim play and are fine with the included parameters then I am sure it is a great piece of equipment.
I suppose it all depends on how you will use it, but I will say that if I only had the GC2, I would have probably changed to the GC3 because of the form factor.

Had issues with shots not reading with the GC3. A ton had to do with the mat I was using. If it moves a slight bit it will throw the unit off. You have to make sure it is on a stable surface and that there is not anything getting in the way of its cameras such as a gap between the mat and where the unit is placed. I made some adjustments and got a new mat that does not move at all and it works fine now. I had a GC2 and getting the GC3 was a good decision. That said, if you have a GC2 and HMT, I would keep it and not get the GC3. Offers more data plus is more capable with other software.

The gap issue is surprising. My unit sits on a platform at least a foot from my mat and I have no issues with misreads.Originally posted by John6577 View PostHad issues with shots not reading with the GC3.
