Foresight Fairgrounds - room config/display issue

Hi all - I've found some older threads on this but without finding a (successful) answer. I recently installed Fairgrounds - but on playing any game the display is off... essentially it looks at the floor with the targets right at the top of the screen. Where you hit doesn't correspond to the targets. I checked room config (in admin mode) and each time I run Fairgrounds, it seems to change the settings in config to something completely different to my layout. Each time I change (as admin)... it changes back. I don't have this issue with FSX 2020/Play etc.

Anyone with experience of this and a fix? FYI I'm using a Quad. Many thanks in advance.

I was having some issues with some stuff in room config and removing all FS stuff and reinstallling fixed my issues. I wasn't having any problems with Fairgrounds, but I remember someone having a similar issue and they were not on the most recent version. Contrary to that I also remember some other people having better luck with an earlier version.

I'd first make sure you're on the most recent.

If you are, I'd try uninstalling it and reinstalling.

If that doesn't work, I'd try an older version if you have it.

A new version of Fairgrounds released yesterday... I was hoping the view issues would be addressed, but sadly not. Anyone found a fix for the view pointing downwards?

I don't have a fix for you, but I can tell you I have the exact same problem and was never able to fix it. I tried just about everything and just eventually gave up. It's buggy software. I'm seeing a theme with foresight and buggy software... Funny how FSX 2020 turned out alright somehow.

Same issue, no solves unfortunately. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, changed the screen size, everything in all the older threads. Nothing. GC3 here

old thread, but just tried out fairgrounds and everything is shifted up off the screen a few feet. Did room config in FSX Pro to no effect...ideas?

Set room config height to 9' - regardless of your actual screen height. That was the only thing that has gotten it to show properly on screen for me. I may need to play with it some for the ball to strike the exact spot on the impact screen/game screen, but at least we can finally see the full game!

So... an update for Fairgrounds has been published in the past couple of days - even though it still has March 2023 as it's date (the details include support for Falcon) - and IT SEEMS TO NOW WORK AS IT SHOULD!! The view doesn't drop... i think the room config tool has been sorted. Hoping it's sorted for everyone.

I'm still hoping they'll eventually integrate Fairgrounds directly into FSX Play. I ran into issues with the room configuration tool causing conflicts between Fairgrounds and FSX 2020, and FSX Play when having all installed on the same PC and have since removed 2020 and Fairgrounds. Maybe I'll give it another shot since a lot of family have expressed interest in the games.

Do you happen to run all applications on your PC currently?

Yes all on the same PC. 2020 and Play have never conflicted with each other for me. It was always Fairgrounds that caused the issue. Hopefully sorted… but my Foresight software bug fixing trust levels are low!
