FSX Play update

New version available… as of yesterday. Lots of updates listed. Anybody tried it out yet? Hopefully I’ll do so later today. Fingers crossed on a leap forward…!

I agree, an email would have been helpful. I haven't played yet but just looked through it. They have added more but it could have been better. I was hoping they would've added the Scramble scoring instead of the Stableford. It looks like they gave us a new course, Beaver Hills Country Club. Over all, they did improve the program so I am happy with that. Hopefully the future updates will be coming a little more often.

Does the update/install course buttons work for anyone? The new courses screen is nice, but when I try to click update or install, nothing happens.

Worked for me, nice sidebar on right saying Queued, Downloading, installing. All done and UPDATE icon disappears.

there are a couple of things you can try, the new setup will pop a window of .net 5.0 if install or if you have it, please repair it, for me it works.

the second thing to do is, launch the FSXplay software with administrator rights, right-click and run as administrator.

here C:\Program Files (x86)\Foresight Sports Experience Components\DownloadManager is the Download manager installed to check if it is not running if not rigth click and run it as admin as well...

It says on mine that there is an update for Butterfield Country Club (Blue/Red). However, the older version, 1.1.0.2 is the same as the new one. I downloaded anyway and it still appears on the course selection screen that there is a new update.

After this latest upgrade my touchscreen monitor quit working with FSX Play. Still works fine with FSX2020 and in E6 connect (all on same computer). Not sure if had to do with the .net 5.0 installation that was accompanied by the install. As after the install was complete I could not get the monitor to work with any apps and required me to uninstall and reinstall the HID driver for the monitor. After that it went back to working on all apps including FSX2020 just not FSX Play. Just seeing if anyone else had similar issue or if limited to my computer (Windows 11 and Planar PCT2785 monitor). Other than that I had no issues with upgrade. Would like to see scramble to be added assume its coming as Stableford scoring was added.

I had the same issue with my touch screen not responding to FSX Play. I submitted a ticket with Foresight and have been told they are working on the issue.

I also can not update or download courses from the course screen. Also, doesnt appear that St. Andrews is in that list of downloadable courses despite it being available on play now.

got the downloading courses resolved with the run as admin download manager (thanks) Foresight helped me with that, it will be fixed soon from what it sounds like. Cheers all!
